Last week, Buffy the Vampire Slayer Charisma Carpenter opened up about abuse she allegedly suffered on the set of the hit TV series courtesy of The Avengers director Joss Whedon. The actress described her "traumatising" experience working with the filmmaker, detailing his "abuse of power" (like calling her "fat" while she was pregnant and pitting the show's stars against each other).
The floodgates have since opened, with other stars and creatives detailing their own extremely negative experiences with Whedon. Buffy the Vampire Slayer's lead, Sarah Michelle Gellar, hasn't said much, but did issue a statement that noted, "While I am proud to have my name associated with Buffy Summers, I don't want to be forever associated with the name Joss Whedon."
Angel star David Boreanaz initially remained silent, but has now leant his support to Carpenter by responding to her original post on Twitter.
"I am here for you to listen and support you," he said. "Proud of your strength."
Whedon has yet to comment on these allegations, but between this and what supposedly went down during the Justice League reshoots, this might well be the end of his career.
