TV Line have published their annual "Winter TV Spoilers" column, and it contains some very interesting details about what's to come in the second half of Arrow's third season. Executive prodcer Marc Guggenheim tells the site that the three episodes which follow the death of Oliver Queen "are among the best we've ever done. They're incredibly compelling," and that it's his apparent demise which "makes it necessary" for Laurel to become the Black Canary. That's not all however, as it will also see characters who previously haven't had much interaction share the screen. "There's a lot of Thea and Felicity. [Felicity will] have some pretty big moments with Laurel as well." They also reveal that the H.I.V.E. storyline WILL be revisited this year, while "We're definitely going to bring back the Suicide Squad," says fellow EP Andrew Kreisberg confirms. Expect to see Sin in episode 12, Sara and Vertigo in 13, and of course Deathstroke in episode 14.

At least they don't have rediculous costumes.

If Michael Wilkinson is doing the costume designs, then it won't look anything like that.

The DCCU's Suicide Squad is going to put this one to shame.

Moreover, when did H.I.V.E. make an appearance on Arrow?

for those that say this season has been hit or miss, I am glad that the show runners are not making the series to please you, as I am very happy with what has happened this season.

Whenever someone associated with arrow says "among the best we've ever done" I ignore it. Stephen Amell actually said the climb was one of the best episodes they'd done, and that wasn't very good IMO.

I do like Arrow, or I did before the meandering, annoying, Felicity fangirl-ized S3

Flash is where it's at.

And the suicide squad movie will put this SS to shame.

@Wannabe

When Diggle broke out Lyla and Deadshot from that prison in Russia in early S2, Diggle asked him why he killed his brother. Deadshot said he didn't hold vendettas or grudges, an organization called H.I.V.E. hired him to kill Diggle's brother, and it was nothing personal.

No they didn't. Deadshot bared little resemblance to his character of the comics other than he can shoot well. Will Smith is a two-time Oscar nominated actor who is being directed by David Ayer. Also, you haven't seen a single picture of Will Smith's Deadshot so you can't have an opinion on it yet.

Fact is, it's way better then Arrow at the moment. The acting is better )though not flawless but certainly better than Arrow), the dialogue is better (it fits Flash to a tee), and the story arc so far makes more sense, and it keeps you guessing.

In terms of live action Deadshot is always ruined. Arrow's Deadshot is lame. No mask, he tatoos his victims names onhis body (Lawton never did that in the comics) and he doesn't wear any sort of suit. Nothing. Oh and he lost his eye, what is he, Deathstroke now?

For the movie we have Will Smith playing him. Like seriously??!! A hip hop has-been playing the 2nd deadliest assassin in the DCU riiiiight. And i bet money Smith's Deadshot won't wear a mask either. No way WB will wanna cover his face with a mask. Sad we will never get to see the TRUE Deadshot in live action.

Btw this group shot of Arrow's SS looks dumb as shit. They just look like ordinary people.

The Arrow version of Deadshot has absolutely nothing in common with the comicbook version. The first episode this Deadshot appeared in Arrow he SPRAYED BULLETS. WTF Deadshot NEVER misses.

Not to mention losing his eye (Deathstroke) tatooing victims names on his body (Victor Zsaz sp?) just seems they blended characters when making this particular "Deadshot"

Annnnnd it's garbage.

Would be nice to finally get a properly done Deadshot. Too bad WB are a bunch of pussies and are too afraid to put him in his full face silver mask and red/yellow body armor. There are ways to modernize it without completely removing it.

Oh well
TronVin
TronVin - 1/5/2015, 5:57 PM
@sinsear912

For one, Deadshot doesn't tattoo the names of his victims onto himself. That goes against him being a professional. That makes it like he finds his victims as prizes instead of just a part of the job.

In his psychological profile, Marnie Herrs says that Floyd Lawton has strong self-destructive urges. Herrs believes that he is looking for a way to die, and he hopes the Suicide Squad will provide one. Despite this, she says there is another side of him that wants to be well and doesn't know how. Captain Boomerang asks why he chooses to live in a prison cell, and Deadshot replies that "a bed's a bed."

He has described himself as similar to Rick Flag, and states that they are both "lone wolves" who "don't fit in the pack." Herrs asks him about his sexual relationships, and he says that he exclusively visits prostitutes. He prefers sex to be simple like a business transaction, and hates figuring out what women want in relationships.

Floyd Lawton has told Marnie Herrs that life means nothing to him. In his own words, he is "killing time, waiting to die." He tells Marnie that evil is real, and the only way to cure some people is with a bullet to the head. When his son was killed and he murdered the people responsible, he described this as a necessary action to protect his reputation. This was accompanied by an emotional outburst. Marnie Herrs accused him of being unable to admit his feelings, because he could not deal with his own anger and grief. He often expresses disappointment at surviving his missions, such as immediately lamenting "damn" when awakening in a hospital. In Identity Crisis, Deadshot shot himself in the neck to make Kyle Rayner drop his guard.

His brother was the only person he ever cared about. He claims to have felt nothing, no guilt or remorse, when he killed his brother. He says the only life anybody really cares about is their own, and he does not even care about that. And due to the relationship with his brother he has a strong bond with Rick Flag. John Ostrander implied that this relationship also colored Deadshot's rivalry with Batman, whom Deadshot had always been unable - or subconsciously unwilling - to kill.

Deadshot also has a dry sense of humor.

Arrow fans don't know jack diddly squat about Deadshot. Sad how badly WB/CW raped this character.

In Smallville he looked like a gay cowboy.

And of course no mask either.

After the Will Smith casting/Deadshot race bending I just about gave up on WB ever getting him right

@LastOfKrypton- The movie version definitely has a more quality cast but don't count your chickens before they hatch. We have not seen what costumes/IF ANY the movie versions will wear.

I know Deadshot won't wear a costume or mask. I can 100% guarantee the asshats as WB won't cover Smith's damn face

@TronVin- WB don't want Deadshot in a mask. I learned it from Smallville and Arrow.

WB struggle with Deadshot. I don't understand why.
