According to TV Line, casting is underway for four new characters set to appear in the third season of The CW's hit DC show, Arrow. One of them sounds very similar to the Ted Kord incarnation of the Blue Beetle, with the name Daniel being used in the casting call. Dan Garret was the first Blue Beetle.
"Daniel" is described as an industrialist and rival of Oliver Queen who will suit up as a tech-based superhero, becoming a love interest for Felicity. Other characters include a supervillain with a knack for chemistry and a new mentor-type figure for Oliver Queen's flashbacks in Hong Kong.
