Actor John Barrowman will be recounting the Batman Begins-esque journey Arrow's Malcolm Merlyn embarked upon to become the villanous Dark Archer.  Yesterday, Barrowman took to Facebook to reveal the news:

Written by Barrowman and his sister Carole, Arrow: The Dark Archer, is set between the third and fourth seasons of the TV series, but also reveals what Malcolm was up to before he became the Dark Archer, the nemesis to Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) early in the series. Twelve chapters will be released bi-weekly starting Wednesday, Jan. 13 (available via the DC Comics App, readdcentertainment.com, iBooks, comixology.com, Google Play, Kindle Store, Nook Store, and iVerse ComicsPlus). The entire story will later be collected in single print edition.

Arrow returns January 20th on The CW.

I can picture him writing it up on his laptop right now.

"Nyssa was on the floor crying...She wanted Malcolm's long hard arrow so bad--all the women in the world did. But alas...he had set his sights on vetting his daughter's boyfriend...Roy Harper. With his cute little bum...begging to be penetrated by the Dark Archer's arrow of lust."

"And then entered an old drunken man in assless chaps and a green lantern shirt. He was rough around the edges and smelled of urine. "I-I've always wanted a b-black arrow in me. N-now here's my chance." The Dark Arrow's eyebrows raised, "I guess you will do in the meantime."

"Then, suddenly...Roy Harper entered their dungeon. The old man from Detroit exclaimed 'Oh! My little Roy Toy!'

Meanwhile, Malcolm was almost at full staff, but he knew that if he wanted a proper dark arrow in his quiver, he would need to convince John Diggle to come on over. He would show the Black Driver once and for all...all the pleasurable things Lysa could never give him."

"When he got back to his senses, the rotten man didn't knew what had happened. The bleary light of the candles seemed to be dancing, and to his ancient nose came the ill scent of wax and sweat. Twenty of the ugliest men were laying on the floor, naked.

Then, footsteps.

When the farty man raised his head, he noticed that his old green lantern shirt was nothing more than rags on the floor; but he didn't care. Because there, standing by the door, was someone he knew from ages ago. A man with a red cap, happy nipples and a tattoo on his chest which spelled: "Ra's byatch."

The red capped man smiled, only lightly, and said, "Oh old man, You... you have failed this city."

His belt came down, and the old creepy man smiled again from his place in the floor."

I loved him masquerading as Green Arrow in the last episode. Would LOVE to see more of that kind of stuff from him. He's awesome.
I don't think they could ever kill him off. There would just be too much outrage. The fans love him!

"The only interruptions to this hedonistic, graphic, pepperoni-nippled affront to the laws of man and nature, were the few times when the old man's eyes would suddenly glaze over. The old man would lurch to his feet and begin screaming questions as to who everyone was, why they were naked, and who, exactly had lathered him in a combination of marshmallow fluff, cocaine, penis-shaped arrowheads, and chocolate sprinkles."

@Gusto

I think all of us, combined, might be able to write some incredibly disturbed "romance novels"
