A few months ago, The Vampire Diaries actor Steven McQueen revealed he had met with the Arrow writers and teased that he'd like to play Nightwing in particular. Chatting with Access Hollywood, McQueen accidentally (or not?) let slip that he's "waiting" to hear back from the Arrow team.

"Hopefully soon Nightwing on a show called Arrow, but still waiting to hear about that."

Still waiting? Well, the season's almost over so we better hope he hears back sooner rather than later. What do you guys think? Sound off below!

How can there be a Nightwing already? No one's even mentioned the existence of other vigilantes.

That would be great to finally see Nightwing in live action however, why does he need to be introduced in Arrow why not on his own show or in the next batman show/film

Oh no, the one guy that can ruin the arrow/BvS link......either change Steven for Adam, or Adam for Steven, because arrow must be connected, it MUST!!!

McQueen should be Terry McGinnis in a live action Batman Beyond movie.

I missed this rumor before. I guess he would be playing Nightwing in season 3, because filming for season 2 is almost over.

I'm not familiar with the actor, but he does look like Dick Grayson.

@batz Lol! I was thinking the same thing.

Bucks to Barnes, he's probably already jinxed it for himself by dropping this info. Bet the show will push that "surprise" back even further now. They might even bring in "Static Shock" instead to throw everyone a curve ball..lol!

@Batz11

Steven McQueen is related to Steve McQueen. He's his grandson or nephew, something like that.

To all you guys bitching and moaning about the probability of Harley Quinn or Nightwing popping up on the show impossible because that would mean there are other vigilantes, you must not remember the list of clues for the rest of the season Stephen Amell posted on his Facebook months ago. One was that Oliver was to be revealed as not the first vigilante in the world.

“Born on a Monday…”

Someone else survived the island.

Amanda makes an offer.

A better use for that clocktower.

What is the question you should have asked?

Ollie is not the first vigilante.

Not all hoods are green.

A blank expression.

“Archer”

“Rise”

TheGreenRanger, that's proabably the silliest thing I've heard anyone say on this site! LOL

Too Skinny? did you see how much weight Matthew McConaughey had to lose for Dallas Buyer's Club, or how much Bale lost for The Machinist in 2004, just to turn around and get jacked for Batman Begins in 2005? being too skinny is a REALLY EASY problem to solve, especially if the actor is really committed to the part! :)

The first Steve McQueen was a badass (Bullitt, Any Given Sunday)! Hopefully his nephew or whatever can pull this off, if true!

I would prefer to see Nightwing on the big screen over the small screen. I would be okay with Nightwing appearing on Arrow if he can also be in Batman/Superman: Worlds Finest. That being said I would love to see Nightwing and Green Arrow team up.

@TheGreenRanger

You obviously dont do any research. This dude got BIG for the most recent seasons of the Vampire Diaries.

I'd say he has the perfect build for Nightwing.

I guess if he is still waiting, he is either appearing in the opening episodes of season three, or a finale.

Not sure how the rights to Batman work in relationship to Fox's Gotham show. However, if they introduce Nightwing they must have to mention Batman.

Personally I would love the Season Finale to have a nod to MoS, maybe lights shutdown and the message from Zod starts playing.

As I have mentioned, I would like this connected, but that doesn't mean it has to crossover into the movie world.

I dont know why, but I thought that Ian Somerhalder from The Vampire Diaries would make a better Dick Grayson/Nightwing

Maybe for the film version

I wouldn't mind Nightwing guest starring in a couple episodes of season 3 at all. By that time Roy woukd have become Arsenal or Red Arrow & they can become friends, opening the door for a potential Young Justice themed spin-off
