Fox's Gotham will it be sharing the same universe as the Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice ?

With Arrow Spin off, The Flash, Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice and Gotham series coming soon, i hope its all connected in the same Dc universe. Because i'm curious if Nightwing we see in Arrow will be set in the same universe as Ben Affleck's Batman. If so, i'm def be tuning in as well as many others

Long story short, i hope the Gotham ,  Flash and Arrow(should be called Green Arrow) series is set in the same place as the Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice Universe ! That be awesome. With Nightwing appearing in Arrow next season, and already showed a brief cameo of Harley Quinn  and Gotham (maybe acting like a prequel to Ben Affleck Batman ?) i hope its all sharing the same universe. it be i don't know, exciting if it was

That's wishful thinking, DC won't connect any of these shows, even if it would pay off in the end.

The producers of Gotham have already stated it will not be connected.

However, if the show is hugely popular and makes a ton of money, and it would make the studio money to connect it to the DCCU, you can count on the studio execs. making it loosly connected. Whatever protects them and makes them money.

They won't be in the same universe. It restricts creative freedom. And once creative freedom is restricted, we all know what happens then... *cough*Ant-Man*cough

The reason why they won't connect the shows yet is that they don't want to announce the shows being connected and then having the shows fail with viewers and being cancelled. Say Flash gets cancelled after one season (which hopefully won't happen), DC won't want that failed show to be tied into their movies.

It would be a great idea but Dc/warner bros wont take that chance.

I like Arrow and Flash looks promising.. Gotham I'm not sure about.. Either way these shows should not and can not be connected to the DCCU at this point.. If they envisioned these shows to be canon with the movies they could have done something spectacular, but they didn't.. It's too late now..

I doubt they are sharing the same universe because FOX and CW are different networks. And isn't Arrow already been said not to inhabit the same universe as DC movies? There really isn't anything to add to this conversation because it just isn't going to happen.

First, this article is not news so you need to fix that, second you should have really done more with the article to argue your point.

I not saying they won't connect them but I doubt they will and I hope they dont. Gotham? Maybe but not the CW shows.

With this being in the news section. I was afraid you found a hint that it was going to be in the same universe. Thankfully it's just your opinion.

You forgot about Constantine as well. Could they connect up? There is a very slight possibility with Arrow and Flash both existing in the timeline before MoS and then jumping forward after next season though I doubt it. The one thing they could do, is say Arrow/Flash/Constantine exist on earth 2/3/whatever. Means they can basically keep the universes separate but use the same actors in the cinematic universe once the movies get to that point. Wouldn't be hard to do. Take 2-3 eps involving Flash as the catalyst of him accidentally travelling between the multi-verse.

Yeah -- uh, no. That would be a very bad idea. Just because Marvel is barely doing it right doesn't mean DC should attempt the same thing.

TV is usually a cheesier version of an adaptation, and they tend to stretch out unnecessary things. I, for one, would prefer to separate the universes, respectively.

There's plenty of good reason to connect Flash and Arrow and Hourman, but Gotham? It's set in the past and on a different network. No real need to connect it, and it wouldn't be all that useful.

I say keep them separate because I like Arrow too much and I don't want it to be limited by the movies, same goes for Flash. Imagine if Agents of SHIELD wasn't connected to the movies. Every episode would have Nick Fury and Black Widow and Hawkeye and they'd be able to do whatever they want, but since it's connected to the movies those big-name Hollywood actors won't go to TV. AoS is limited because of it's connection to the movies. I don't want these DC shows to suffer the same fate.

Btw, Nightwing is just a rumor and Gotham can't be connected because they cast Sean Pertwee as Alfred in the show and Jeremy Irons will be playing him in the DCCU.
Bread
Bread - 6/7/2014, 10:24 PM
On Arrow and Flash I want to see Ra's Al Ghul and I want to see more of the League of Assassins and I want to see Nightwing and Red Hood and I want to see Harley Quinn on the Suicide Squad and I want to see more big DC villains and I want to see Green [frick]ing Lantern.

If it were connected to the DCCU, they would never be able to do that.
