Gordon and Bullock track down a nemesis from the past, leading to a standoff between Jerome (guest-star Cameron Monaghan) and Gordon. Meanwhile, a magic show at the Gotham Children's Hospital gala turns into a hostage situation in the all-new Rise of the Villains: The Last Laugh episode of GOTHAM airing Monday, October 5th on FOX.

I really hope this storyline ends with Jerome dead.

This show is......painfully horrible. It is such a cheap cash in on what little of the batman mythos left intact.

[frick] everything else on this show. Give me an hour of Jerome. That kid's Joker is one of the best versions I think I've ever seen. Perfect part Nicholson, Ledger, and Hamill. Just give me The Joker Hour, starring slaughter and mayhem.

& while "Jerome" is doing a good job as proto-Joker, I didn't ever want to know who Joker was. It cheapens one of the greatest villains somehow. I'm not sure that statement applies to any other supervillain in the comic world, but it does for me with Joker

One of the best cb TV insides of all time. I think Jerome is probably the greatest villain portrayals we have seen.

For a pretty shitty show...the last 2 eps were pretty good. Dialogue and tone is too corny and horrible, but the GCPD massacre was pretty ballsy.

It's kinda a shame how a show without Batman can still feel more like Batman than Nolan's movies ever did. Jerome is already starting to put Ledger to shame and he's not even officially Joker yet! I loved how he embraced Mark Hamill's depiction of the Joker and went full on killer with the added humor that was sorely lacking from The Dark Knight.

I usually like my Joker origins mysterious and/or unknown but if it had to be done I'm glad this guy is what we got. Jerome is killing it.

I knew this season was going to be insane. This is episode just proved that! This "so-called-shitty-little-show" has given us better villains than the whole of the billion-dollar MCU...

Jerome, Penguin and yes, even Barbara make Loki and co look like Disney princesses! Yes, I went there...

Really? They stole the Heath Ledger Joker video from TDK? That's just as bad as Arrow stealing their plot lines from Nolan's series in the first two seasons.

This show is great and this kid as the Joker owns lol but I would like Bruce to start being a little bit more... Batman-like? I mean I guessed the passcode was Bruce he should have enough detective prowess to figure that thing out

Another great episode with Jerome "killing it" (see what I did there)

I'm really enjoying this origin story but I'm bothered by the fact that Gordon and Essen never had a romantic relationship seeing as how they were married in the comics.

Brilliant TV, every second of this episode was pure entertainment. The show has improved exponentially. Second favorite TV show after Flash right now.

Fun show. All the villains seems to act like their movie counterparts. Riddler even dropped an "alrighty then" a Jim Carey staple.

I hope the rich dude ends up the Man-Bat. Those ears...

Proto Joker is a great description. Kudos to this actor playing Jerome. Making the role his own and pulling in the best from Nicholson, Ledger, and Romero. Great stuff. Keep it up Gotham, tied for 1st with Flash as my favorite CBTV. Mythos be dammed.
