LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Finale Bids Farewell To [SPOILER] & Introduces SCRUBS Star Donald Faison As Booster Gold

Tonight's action-packed Legends of Tomorrow finale bid farewell to a longtime crew member while also introducing Scrubs star Donald Faison as a popular DC hero before ending on a major cliffhanger!

Legends of Tomorrow brought its seventh season to a close with one doozy of an hour that saw a number of major developments, none bigger than the introduction of a very popular DC hero.

While it wasn't exactly a well-kept secret, tonight's seventh season finale confirmed that fan-favorite Scrubs star Donald Faison has indeed joined the cast as the one-and-only Michael Jon Carter, a.k.a. Booster Gold.

Introducing himself as Mike, he proceeded to steal the Waverider before blowing up the Legends' time machine and escaping. However, he returned during the episode's closing moments and revealed that he was being arrested alongside the entire team for time crimes, setting the stage for season eight.

If the show is picked up for its eighth year, which seems highly probable based on the cliffhanger ending, Faison would join the main cast as a series regular.

Faison's introduction will undoubtedly infuse new life into the long-running series, but the Waverider will be without one of their longtime crew members as Nick Zano has departed the show. He made his debut as Nate Heywood in season two and appeared in 94 episodes, the fourth-longest running member of the cast. The door will likely remain open for a return down the line, but for now, Nate will be heading into the totem to live with Zari 1.0.

In other news, the Waverider may soon be getting an unexpected new traveler - once this whole jail thing is sorted - as it was revealed that Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) was pregnant with Ava's (Jes Macallan) baby. Hard to explain, but it has something to do with alien biology?

Wait I'm confused, I didn't see Zach Braff anywhere in this episode. Aren't they contractually obliged to be in everything together? That's the world I want to live in.

@clornelas - make him Ted Kord! Lol

@ThouBear8 - I'd be ok with that. Ted Kord was always teased multiple times through Arrow by all those heist on Kord Industries and it carried on through The Flash. (They even named dropped him in the Bloodwork arc) So maybe Ted could debut somewhere in the latter.

Zack Braff and Donald Faison could even get their own buddy-cop show one day: "Blue and Gold".

@clornelas - maybe braff will voice skeet

@dracula - that might be an even better idea! Especially if wb already has plans to show Ted Kord in the Blue Beetle movie (like in flashbacks or something)

An appropriate level of overconfident clueless jerk. I can dig it.

Faison is definitely the shot in the arm this show needed. He's such a great fit here.

Smallville was more faithful to Booster than whatever this garbage will be.

@MitcHendricks - Yeah, looks like now we will get a Tokenized Booster Gold. I'm not even surprised anymore at this point......

Well, I hope he gets a uniform. I know Legends doesn't use uniforms but they should. And about Nick Zano wel...I loved Nate. But I loved Nate and Ray bromance. At one point DC's Legends Of Tomorrow was my favorite Arrowverse tv show, but now it looks a little bit meh. I don't like the og characters (aside Ava, Ava is great) and they turned a good "DC comics + Doctor Who" in "Doctor Who wannabe".

If this killed the Powerpuff Girl's live action show, then this is a great win.

Great introduction to their take on Booster, he seems already very fun.

Legends was the very last Arrowverse series I kept up with and sad to say I am 100% done with all CWverse shows. The writing in ALL the CWVerse (not Arrowverse, that universe died at the end of Crisis) has less to do with story telling and characterization, and more to do with preachy wokism, woke-ness, whatever you want to call it. You can slip in points of views in meaningful ways, but these shows are too preachy that it's not even enjoyable. Bye guys, I don't know you anymore.

@lntrn8 - You think the same about Doom Patrol then? Because there's a street type of character there with different pronouns and Larry Trainor/Negative Man deals with never having come out from the closet before his accident.

@NinnesMBC - I've seen the first 2 episodes of DP, I liked what I saw . . . but haven't seen the rest. I'd like to (no time). However if it's more CWverse writing (sermonizing over STORY) then I'm glad I haven't watched. I watch Euphoria, and one can see what they want & need to see in that show, but the woke sermonizing isn't in your face & I actually care & are interested in ALL the Euphoria characters. ALL the current CW writers should be fired. The characters are weak, no character arcs based on merit, no earned relationship investments . . . please stop this rant. STOPPED.

@FlixMentallo21 - gosh, that is a heckuva long url there without a preview screen on my end . . . wonder what will happen when I click it . . . Blue Screen of Death? lol Not gonna click on addresses I don't know. I'm visual! I like coloring books. Have a good one!

@NinnesMBC - I think the same as him and also finally quit all the CWverse with this Superman show this season. I love Doom Patrol, it's one of the few shows I actually watch now and The Street is a great character. It has interesting characters in an interesting world. CW is political propaganda created with a super-hero story background.

@lntrn8 - It's funny you mentioned Euphoria because their 2nd Season was quite far from fans wanted to see, especially with all the BTS drama it was revealed and the lack of story given to Kat's character.

Only Supergirl make the mistake of often giving sermons, the rest do not. So keep wishing they get fired, never hurts to dream of impossible things. =)
