In the comics, this handsome fella was originally an entomologist named Roderick Rose who was subjected to a experiment that transformed him into a insectoid monster. However, for the purposes of this TV series he'll have extraterrestrial origins, just like our leading lady.
The network hasn't specified which episode he'll show up in, but there's a good chance it'll be next week's if they're releasing this image now, during tonight's second instalment.
