TV Line is reporting that The CW's upcoming two-part musical crossover between their two top-rated shows, Supergirl and The Flash, has cast former Glee star Darren Criss as the dastardly Music Meister, reuniting him with his former co-stars Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist.

In a statement released following the announcement, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg expressed his excitement at getting an opportunity to work with Criss: “With our Flash and our Supergirl being Glee alums, how could we not have them go up against another Glee favorite like Darren Criss? We have been blown away by his talent over the years and we can’t wait to see what he brings to the Music Meister.

The crossover will kick-off on Monday, March 20th with Supergirl and then conclude on Tuesday, March 21st with The Flash. Also, just like with the previous four-part "Heroes v. Aliens" event, the festivities will begin at the tail-end of Supergirl's episode, leaving most of the musical mayhem to take place in Central City on Earth-1 the following night.

The Flash portion of the crossover is appropriately titled "Duet" and will have Dermott Downs in the director's chair. As for who's singing, thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we've learned that Gustin, Benoist, Jesse L. Martin, Victor Garber, Carlos Valdes, Jeremy Jordan, and John Barrowman will all be seen lending their voices to a song or two. David Harewood and Chris Wood are also slated to appear, but won't be singing in either episode.

So, what do you guys think? Sound off with your thoughts below!

Not a bad choice. I would have preferred NPH, but he would never do it. So I'm fine with Criss. He's a good actor and singer, and a much better performer.

@Kr08 - Matthew Morrison would also have worked.

Okay, I wanted a musical crossover for a long time, and they came so, so close to really making this perfect. But now they botched even this.

No NPH, no me watching this (probably).

Wait... John Barrowman? Now I'm curious as to why in the hell Malcolm Merlyn will be in this crossover.

@Kr08 - Because he was a stage performer and probably is one of the few members of their cast who can actually sing.

@MrDandy - Oh, I know that. Barrowman is a performer at heart, but I mean what does Malcolm Merlyn have to do with this crossover

Well, I watched Glee, so I'm happy they're doing this. It should be interesting if they can pull it off. Just go with the flow guys...

Have any of you seen La La Land? Not an epic movie, but it was entertaining. Just not our kind of flick, but since this is a musical thread, I thought it was relevant. LOL

@AvengersRock - La la Land is a great movie that's also a musical and was made to be a musical.

It wasn't an out of place gimmick.

@MrDandy - Wait... does La La Land have superheroes in it?? No? Cause I was thinking that those characters were created to be in a musical. If I know anything... it's that the Flash was not intended to be in a musical. That's why THIS will feel out of place and a gimmick.

@adamcawa -

Had Supergirl stayed on CBS in Los Angeles,NPH might have taken the gig.

@WarnerBrother - but then the crossover wouldn't have happened!

I guess if NPH was out, having a Glee alum is a smart second choice. Never watched the show, but it'll draw interest.

Glee reunion indeed. But I wouldn't discount the possibility of NPH being Music Meister in the future. Remember, Multiverse.

These episodes should start filming very soon, early February.

Pretty excited about them. As more info comes out from these I might share more of my thoughts.

NPH not being the Music Meister in this is my first huge DC disappointment of 2017. I so hope it'll be my last.

Speaking of CW, I never watched 5 seconds of The 100 until I watched the 1st episode Saturday morning. I was immediately hooked. Better than all the Arrowverse.
