SUPERMAN & LOIS: The CW Reveals A First Look At Tyler Hoechlin's Amazing New Superman Costume

The CW has released a first official look at the new costume Tyler Hoechlin's Man of Steel will don in Superman & Lois, and it's fair to say that fans of the character should be very happy with this...

We've known for a while that Superman & Lois will give the Man of Steel a new costume, but it's only been spotted from afar in blurry set photos. Well, ahead of the show's premiere on The CW on February 23rd, 2021, the network has finally revealed this super suit in all its glory.

It honestly doesn't look that different to the one worn by Henry Cavill in the DC Extended Universe movies, but that logo stands out a little more, which is something comic book fans are sure to appreciate.

There's also a very pronounced belt that instantly brings back memories of Superman's appearance during "The New 52" era of storytelling. As expected, the red pants are M.I.A., and it seems they are going to remain absent in live-action projects featuring the character for the time being.

As far as the plot of Superman & Lois goes, we don't know a lot about what to expect from The CW series, but the show is expected to revolve around the title characters attempting to bring their two sons up in Metropolis. Something tells us that at least one of them will end up having their father's powers, though, and that should make for an intriguing premise (it's certainly pretty different to the comics).

Kinda surreal to be getting an actual Superman show after so many years

Looks like Cavils with a smaller symbol, a weird collar, and in it is a nice actor who lacks the stature of Superman. And who also has British Rock Star teeth.

@CharleyBologna - Yeah. I thought, not much different from Cavill's suit. Maybe not as swollen and jacked a look as Cavill but along those lines. A massive improvement over the earlier suit for sure.

@KingLeonidas -
To be fair Superman isn't supposed to be that jacked. His power doesn't come from his muscles.

@Battabing - he's always been jacked in general

Very nice. Getting rid of the cape straps certainly looks a little better.

Looks like a cross between Cavills and Routh's suits.
