THE FLASH: Dreamer Visits Iris In The New Promo For Season 9, Episode 7: "Wildest Dreams"

The Flash is off next week, but the popular DC TV series will return on March 29th with a very special guest star as Dreamer pays Central City a visit, needing Iris' help to get out of a fever dream.

Last week's episode of The Flash was a pretty light week for Barry (Grant Gustin) and Iris (Candice Patton), who were off celebrating their recent pregnancy news, so instead, the hour shifted the spotlight to key supporting players Cecile (Danielle Nicolet) and Allegra (Kayla Compton), who find themselves in the thick of a mystery involving a lot of luck.

The episode brought back season four guest villain Becky Sharpe (Sugar Lyn Beard), who was resurrected due to the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths, and saw her good luck powers turn into bad, ultimately resulting in her inadvertently putting her boyfriend into a coma. With Cecile and Allegra on the case, they're able to find the real culprit and clear Becky's name.

Elsewhere, Chester (Brandon McKnight) and Mark (Jon Cor) continue to help Khione (Danielle Panabaker) get a grasp on her powers and determine what she's truly capable of. However, when they run some tests, they learn that she's not a metahuman, and is actually something much more.

The Flash is off next week, but it looks like when it returns, Team Flash is going to get another familiar face stopping by as Dreamer (Nicole Maines) pays Iris a visit, seeking her help, but it looks like they're going to get stuck in a fever dream with dire circumstances!

Check out the new promo for episode seven, titled "Wildest Dreams," below:

The main cast of The Flash season nine features Grant Gustin ("Barry Allen/The Flash"), Candice Patton ("Iris West-Allen"), Danielle Panabaker ("Dr. Caitlin Snow"), Danielle Nicolet ("Cecile Horton"), Kayla Compton ("Allegra Garcia"), Brandon McKnight ("Chester P. Runk"), and Jon Cor ("Mark Blaine/Chillblaine").

"Wildest Dreams" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, DV) (HDTV)

ONLY IN OUR DREAMS - NICOLE MAINES GUEST STARS - Iris (Candice Patton) is visited by Nia Nal (guest star Nicole Maines), as she needs Iris' help. When Iris and Nia fall into a fever dream and explore different possibilities for their lives, Barry (Grant Gustin), Chester (Brandon McKnight), Allegra (Kayla Compton) and Cecile (Danielle Nicolet) desperately try to help them. Meanwhile, Mark (Jon Cor) entertains Khione (Danielle Panabaker) but they have different ideas of what is fun, leaving Khione to feel that Mark is trying to make her something she is not. Jesse Warn directed the episode written by Kristen Kim & Jeff Hersh Carson (#907). Original airdate 3/29/2023.

While I’ve always acknowledged the first few seasons of the show were much better, I’ve still enjoyed it for the most part. I’m probably more lenient than most when it comes to Arrowverse shows honestly, but even I had to admit this season has been laughably bad. Red Death is quite possibly the worst Arrowverse villain of all time. The decision to “kill” Caitlin and replace her with “Khione” was highly unnecessary, stupid, and disrespectful to the character. The lineup of Rouges we got was laughably bad. Getting a Cecile/Allegra focused episode in an already shortened final season is dumb. Team Flash is a hollow shell of what it used to be, but that’s been the case for the past few seasons. I still have a lot of love for this show overall, but it’s definitely gone on too long and I’m glad it’s ending now.

The series died the moment it became about Barry and Iris. No chemistry between Gustin and Patton. Patton is a terrible actress.

Arrow died when someone just so happened to know the producers were monitoring a Tumblr page, and they made it seem that fans were in love with Emily Bett Rickards and hated Katie Cassidy. And they manipulated the idiot producers to diminish Laurel and make Arrow all about Felicity. Who would have been behind such a thing?

Interest in Arrow died. The quality of the show died. And as you can see from Emily Bett Rickard's lack of a career, the fans did not love her.
