The CW's Crises on Infinite Earths crossover doesn't air until December, but it looks like the upcoming sixth season of The Flash - along with some of the other returning DCTV shows, most likely - will be giving us a little preview of the big event.

In this new promo, The Scarlet Speedster says he witnessed "billions of possible futures" as we get a glimpse of him wearing Jay Garrick's helmet. There's also a brief shot of a very-much-alive Nora Allen.

We still don't have a synopsis for the new season, but the recently released trailer did reveal that The Fastest Man Alive and co. would be going up against a new villain known as Bloodwork (Sendhil Ramamurthy).

Tell us, are you looking forward to the return of The Flash, or do you feel the show has run its course at this stage? Drop us a comment in the usual place.

Bloodwork is from Josh Williamson's run correct? Is it worth reading anyone?

@soberchimera -
Yes, it is. It's also the run that introduced Godspeed and The Flash: Year One.

Godspeed is a lot cooler in the comics than the show. Instead of being a Zoom/Savitar rip-off, he's a full blown antihero. He's essentially the Jason Todd of speedsters.

I am such a slow poke and just realized that line Barry said echoes the one from Infinity War that Doctor Strange said. Most likely thanks to their tech from Cisco that allows them to vibe the Multiverse is how Barry was able to view multiple realities and their fates.

It’s definitely inspired from IW.

The brief showcase of the new suit looked pretty nice as well.

Here's to hoping we get a justice league caliber flash this season. Time for kid gloves to come off.

Hopefully this is the first good season of The Flash since Season 2.
