GAME OF THRONES' Kit Harington Would "Love" To Play A Superhero...Specifically BATMAN

The majority of the cast of Game of Thrones would be ideal for any number of superhero roles, Kit Harington (a.k.a. Jon Snow) included. Here, he expresses his interest in starring in a comic book movie, but specifically as a much lighter version of the Caped Crusader...

Kit Harington in a comic book movie? Yes please. He's going to be pretty busy with Game of Thrones for at least a few more years though, but the genre is one he's keen on getting involved with in the near future. "I’d love to play a superhero," the actor told MTV News while promoting Testament of Youth. "I would love to play Batman." That role belongs to Ben Affleck of course, but asked whether he would bring Jon Snow's brooding qualities to the role, Harington surprisingly replied: "I’d camp him up again. He’s gone way too dark and serious. I’d like proper spandex. Superhero movies got all too serious — they need to get silly again." What do you guys think?

a much lighter version of the Caped Crusader.

If we're talking about something like Michael Keaton's take in the 1989 Batman film, that's fair.

Doesn't have the chin for it. And he's one of my least favourite actors on Game of Thrones. And I'm jealous, because he got to play with that sexy Wildling ginger girl. She was so fine.

Camp like Batman Forever or Batman & Robin.. No, no thank you.

I wouldn't want him as Batman, but maybe more of a Flash/Green Lantern type.. who can be serious yet sarcastic and comical.

Patience, Kit!!!

I don't know how many times I need to suggest it.

Take my advice, play Nightwing first.

THEN, take the Batman mantle. win-win-win!!!!!

@joshwilding - "That role begins to Ben Affleck of course"

I believe you meant, belongs not begins. If you want to edit it and delete this comment.

Just looking out.

Not Batman. He doesn't have the stature or the chin to play a Bruce Wayne. I like the idea of him being Nightwing, or Jason Todd.

You know nothing John Snow.
He is indeed better suited to play Nightwing. The only issue would be his heavy British accent. Contrary to other British actors I'm not convinced that Kit can pull an American accent.

As much as I would love to see a direct to DVD animated movie or graphic novel emulating the tone of Batman Brave and the Bold, no to something live action.

On the topic of Batman v Superman:
Henry Cavill gave out these specially made coins to cast and crew.

I need to get one of these..

Love me some Rose Leslie.

Her and Richard Madden are my top choices for Jean Grey and Scott Summers.

A light-hearted Batman? I think we can make that happen.

If WB weren't dead set on making every one of their TV shows a prequel to [frick]ing everything important, maybe Kit could get his wish. (Although the budget for a good live action Batman Beyond show would be crazy.)

Of course, he'd be a good Nightwing, too.

I'd love another take at the Silver Age Batman. So many so-called "fans" on this site choose to completely ignore one of the biggest eras in Batman history.

If they do Batman Beyond, I like to believe a certain someone would be willing to reprise their role of Bruce Wayne:

@GuardianAngel

We haven't even gotten Batman right in a movie yet. Not even remotely close. But Batman the brave and the bold was great. That maintained some light and camp tones, but he still managed to be Batman.

I actually hated his Batman. His voice was good. That was about it.
