SPOILERS: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau Comments On Last Night's Blistering Episode Of GAME OF THRONES

Last night's incredibly exciting installment of Game of Thrones ended with plenty of fire and blood, and here Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) sheds some light on what occurred with his character...

Last night's episode of Game of Thrones culminated in the Lannister forces being decimated by dragon-fire, and the fate of one main character in particular left up in the air... or, more accurately, at the bottom of a river.

Jaime Lannister foolishly charged towards Dany and Drogon in an attempt to end the war with one thrust of his spear, and only narrowly escaped incineration thanks to a last-minute save by Bronn (that's two castles you owe him, Kingslayer).

In the final shot, Jaime certainly seemed to succumb to his watery fate - but actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau refused to clarify one way or the other during an interview with EW. However, one thing he did reveal is that the episode’s script direction told the actors, “One of our main characters is about to die."

Take from that what you will, but I don't think anyone really believes that this is the last we've seen of Jaime fookin' Lannister.
