According to Warner Bros., Watchmen: The End is Nigh should be available for download on the Playstation Network, Xbox Live Arcade and Steam for PC in early March 2009, coinciding with the release of the Watchmen Film.

The game will include six downloadable chapters that can be played solo, with a computerized partner, or with a friend in split screen format (there is no co-op online play mode). Each of the chapters is based on a situation mentioned in the graphic novel.

Each character will have their own specialized fighting style and attacks, for instance Rorschach has a very "street" fighting style, while Nite Owl relies on gadgets. The game is more than just action however; it also includes numerous strategy puzzles that you must solve along with your partner. The cut-scenes will be the same style that the motion comics are in, and as a treat, Dave Gibbons is involved with the game's development ;).

For more information, check out the December issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly magazine.

to be honest with you, i'm not sure

i'm assuming it's because of the light from the owl ship that's reflecting off of his costume

Actually, it looks better than I expected. I'm a little wary of this episodic formula, although I suppose it will do better than it would released as a game on disc. But I'm a little hesitant based on cost.
