WandaVision spin-off Agatha: Coven of Chaos remains one of Marvel Studios' most intriguing Disney+ TV shows, with rumours swirling that Agatha Harkness will be revealed as LGBTQ+.
There's a lot of chatter surrounding The Witches' Road and Mephisto, but new claims from scooper Daniel Richtman may shed some light on the show's villains. Unsurprisingly, it seems Agatha's dark past will come back to haunt her.
You might recall a flashback in WandaVision showing Agatha killing her mother's coven, and it's said Salem's Seven - "the daughters of the witches from Evanora Harkness' coven" - will return to "[seek] revenge for the murder of their mothers."
This is undeniably intriguing, especially as the group has a history in the comic books. On the page, they're the daughters of Nicholas Scratch, making them Agatha's grandchildren. However, it sounds like the MCU making some big changes to that.
Fingers crossed the characters - who debuted in 1977's Fantastic Four #186 - look this weird...
Very few official plot details have been revealed about Agatha: Coven of Chaos, though we anticipate the series revolving around Agatha tracking down Billy Maximoff who, like his comic book counterpart, has now been "reincarnated" as Billy Kaplan. Mephisto is also expected to appear, possibly played by Sacha Baron Cohen.
The show's supporting cast will feature a number of familiar faces from WandaVision, including Emma Caulfield Ford (Sarah Proctor), Debra Jo Rupp (Sharon Davis), David Payton (John Collins), David Lengel (Harold Proctor), Asif Ali (Abilash Tandon), Amos Glick (Dennis), Brian Brightman (Sheriff Miller), and Kate Forbes (Evanora Harkness).
Other additions include Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, and Maria Dizzia.
Agatha: Coven of Choas is currently expected to premiere on Disney+ sometime in 2024.
