Marvel's AGENT CARTER Show Gets A Pair Of Writers
So, the plot thickens... Or just the likeliness that Marvel and ABC are quietly developing a TV series based on Hayley Atwell's character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with writers now on board.
Now according to the ever-reliable Deadline, Marvel and ABC Studios have nabbed writers for the all but confirmed Agent Carter television series. "I’ve learned that Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas have quietly boarded," reveals the site. The female duo, who created the ABC series Reaper and is currently developing another ABC show, Resurrection, will also executive produce Agent Carter under their current deal with the Disney-owned TV studio. Based on the Peggy Carter character played by English actress Hayley Atwell in the Captain America movies and an Iron Man 3 Blu-ray short film of the same name, which almost serves as its TV pilot, Agent Carter is rumored to be out by the end of the year after Marvel/ABC wrap their first season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..
The show is also said to be "Marvel’s major project of 2014," besides The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy of course, and "it will be a big budget production." What do you think?
