AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Star Chloe Bennet Debunks Reports She's Returning To The MCU For A New TV Series

Earlier this week, a rumour started doing the rounds claiming that Chloe Bennet will return as Daisy Johnson/Quake in Secret Invasion, but the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star has now debunked those reports...

Many fans remain convinced that Marvel Studios will bring characters and storylines from the Marvel Television projects into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Spider-Man 3 is likely to make it clear one way or the other when Daredevil returns (and we learn whether it's the same version we saw on Netflix or a rebooted take on the Man Without Fear with the same actor, but none of that baggage).

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. wasn't allowed to mention S.W.O.R.D., but its introduction in WandaVision certainly opens the door for the likes of Mack, the L.M.D. Agent Coulson, and Quake to show up if that's the direction Kevin Feige and company decide to go in.

In fact, a rumour shared earlier this week claimed that the Secret Invasion TV series coming to Disney+ will bring Chloe Bennet back as Daisy Johnson/Quake. Fans are desperate to see more of that particular character on screen, and it would be a fitting project for her to return in now she's exploring the cosmos.

Unfortunately, the actress has now taken to Twitter to debunk this report, closing the door on a return to the MCU...for now, at least. There's a chance it could happen, but if Marvel Studios opens the door to characters from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., does that back them into a corner and force them to make use of the unpopular versions of the Inhumans and Deathlok?

We'll have to wait and see for now.

Wasn't much of a fan of AoS and Daisy's character in particular. So no loss here for me.
That being said if they soft-rebooted the character with the same actress but missing some of her more annoying quirks I'd be for it.
The self-righteousness of the character really had me grind me teeth during AoS run and soured the experience of the show for me.

Shield is one of the best parts of the mcu but she can be recast with a better actress

@Hulkh8liars - Nah she is fine. And she is FINE. She hands down had the most growth as an actor on the show and has shown she's ready for the big time IMO.
