Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has grown and changed a lot since it first debuted on our screens back in 2012, in the wake of the massive hit that was
The Avengers. With each season the show has adapted to the MCU and grown accordingly, until it essentially stepped out of its shadow entirely, no longer referencing or including cameos from the movies to keep fans appeased.
One character that has gone through similar drastic changes over the years is Skye/Daisy Johnson/Quake. A S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent as well as an Inhuman, her arc is one that has transitioned the most from season to season.
Chloe Bennet, the actress who plays Quake, is very excited about the upcoming final season, and while she can't let much slip, she does want fans to know a couple of things.
"I can say we are back in time, so we have to get… the whole goal is to get back to where we were. So that means traveling through a bunch of different time periods and who knows who we see on the way back, if we even get back. It's actually one of the most… season 4 and season 7 are definitely my favorite seasons of SHIELD."
Did she say "who knows who we see on the way back"? No need to check, she did.
One possible returnee could be some incarnation of Grant Ward, as actor Brett Dalton has expressed his willingness to reprise the role. Daisy's parents or Lincoln are other notable options, while Lance Hunter could always pop up again again. Bobbi Morse will not play a part in the final season, unfortunately, as Adrienne Palicki previously confirmed that she was not asked to return to film any scenes for the show.
