Continuing Much Ado About Nothing promotions, actors Clark Gregg and Nathan Fillion recently spoke to popular YouTuber Jeremy Jahns. After talk of Much Ado concluded, Clark Gregg was hit with a few Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. questions. He stated, "I think the Marvel Universe is a little more accessible to the concept of people not being 100% dead. And I was also lucky enough to start having some people write "Coulson Lives" all over the globe." Previously documented info but still interesting to pause and think upon. When Coulson was apparently dead many a fan lamented that fact and now that he's coming back people are saying that maybe he shouldn't, maybe that undermines some of the plot and seriousness of The Avengers. It will all depend on how Coulson returns in my opinion.
And how that unfolds will be seen this Fall. The pilot is in the can but there's still more episodes to film. Here's what Clark says about the show, whether he is the focal point, on his co-stars and on when filming begins on more episodes. "That's the theory of those involved, that Agent Coulson is driving the ship," Gregg jokes about whether or not Coulson carries the show. "But I'm surrounded by a particular ensemble of young S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents, [as well as] the magnificent Ming-Na Wen who plays Agent Melinda May, who's a very notorious badass within S.H.I.E.L.D." Clark continued, "I'm excited to shoot the show, we've only shot one. I'm excited to see where it goes." When asked to clarify if they've only shot the pilot so far or a string of episodes, Clark confirmed, "We shot the pilot, [ABC] picked that up, in about six or seven weeks we start shooting more of them and we will have just enough of them in the can that we'll be theoretically ahead of when they show them on tv."
