SPOILER WARNING: First Official Image Of AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.'s 'Deathlok 2.0'
Fans were extremely critical of Deathlok's appearance in season one of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but an upgraded version has now been unleashed with a much better look. Who's wearing the armour and just how close to the comic books does this version stick? You can find all that out and more here...
Mike Peterson made his surprise return in tonight's episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and as you can see, his costume has been improved a great deal since season one. Talking to IGN, J. August Richards had this to say about the circumstances surrounding the return of Deathlok. "Coulson has had Deathlok in his back pocket since we saw him last," he reveals. "So he pulls me out of hiding to help him out with this really huge mission that is vital to S.H.I.E.L.D. As you can see, I got a lot of upgrades while I’ve been gone. My costume is very different. There are things that are still the same. The character has been evolving since we’ve seen him last. This is like Deathlok 2.0." As for when and if we'll get to see a version of Deathlok much closer to the comic book version, he added: "It's such work in progress and I can see a scenario where that happens. I was really excited in one episode where Mike was under a x-ray and we got to see that underneath it all he does look a bit like the comic character. We’ll see, it’s constantly evolving, as you can already see."
