THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER Honest Trailer Is Sick And Tired Of All That Talk About Cap's Shield

Screen Junkies has released the Honest Trailer for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and it pokes fun at everything from the constant mentions of Captain America's shield to spoilers on social media...

We've been waiting for this, and the "Honest Trailer" for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is finally here!

It doesn't hold back on roasting the Disney+ series, and at one point even describes it as being the equivalent of a B-tier Marvel Studios movie (a sentiment many fans seem to agree with). Shots are also fired at the show's obsessions with Captain America's shield while highlighting the issue with spoilers on social media.

It has some nice things to say as well, though, but rightly points out how messed up it is that the Avengers "don't get paid sh*t." That was one of the craziest revelations in the Disney+ series, but it probably didn't help that Sam hadn't been working for Tony Stark for a while!

Overall, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier proved to be a fun experience, even if it didn't quite live up to what we saw previously in WandaVision

In our full review of the first season of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, we concluded by saying "Inconsistent storytelling and weak lead villains aside, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is a hard-hitting and action-packed new chapter in the MCU mythos which delivers an insightful and impactful exploration of what it means for a Black man to be Captain America."

One of their weakest ones in quite a while, in my opinion.

Not one of their best, although they were pretty spot on about the Flagsmashers.

@dragon316 - mate I'm tired and sick of Josh making an article about this show every 5 minutes, I don't get it why you brought up racism

@dragon316 - Dude, people having different opinions than you about fan casting is not racism. You're insulting the people who actually experience it, by misusing the term. Like the boy, who cried to the wolf.
Also, good acting talent and looking like the part are not by any means mutually exclusive.

''Inconsistent storytelling and weak lead villains aside''

Guess I watched a different show then. The story was real solid in my opinion because of all the nuances. Especially concerning the shield, what else did they expect?

@bkmeijer - that's their intention, to trigger people like you.

I miss the old Honest Trailers, you know, when they were brutally honest? But then the sponsors come and you bend over. Unlike Red Letter Media! They may be hacks but at least they haven't sold out like almost every other popular YouTube channel

Honestly, this felt lazy. I thought the show was disappointing compared to the legacy of the Cap trilogy but still solid.

The weirdest parts of this show will always be their decision to have Zemo and Bucky use the phrase “the Black man.” Just gave off an abstract Afr. Am. studies lecture vibe that didn’t seem like authentic dialogue at all. And just very odd to make Zemo the woke character. It just didn’t fit.

Another thing, Sam’s decision to set up an exhibit for Isaiah Bradley made no sense, not only because of Bradley’s own expressed fear about the consequences, but because it gets put behind everything else and doesn’t come close to rectifying any thing. Would have been better to have Sam mention him and his experience during his speech.

their weakest one in a while, overly nitpicky (even by their standards) and weirdly mean-spirited. it's like they couldn't find any major issues with the show besides the Flag Smashers and then resorted to straight up make sh*t up that's just objectively false.

Weak. Their last good video was the Snyder Cut one, and even then...eh Mauler did it better lol

I think they actually did a fantastic job with this one and I usually hate their honest trailers (these days at least) and loved this series.

One of their worst, weakest honest trailers they've put out in recent memory. Its clear- the old honest trailers that were hilarious are just that, a thing of the past. After this terrible honest trailer, I unsubscribed from Screen Junkies.
