HAWKEYE: More Evidence Suggests That Hailee Steinfeld Is Indeed Playing The MCU's Kate Bishop

It's definitely beginning to look like Bumblebee star Hailee Steinfeld has been cast as Kate Bishop in Hawkeye, as the show's directors have commented on the Instagram post we mentioned earlier today...

Earlier today, we told you about a cryptic Instagram post from Bumblebee star Hailee Steinfeld which definitely appeared to suggest that the actress had joined the Hawkeye TV series coming to Disney+.

Now, we have some further evidence thanks to a comment left on the actress' post by Hawkeye directing duo Katie Ellwood (Bertie) and Amber Finlayson (Bert). As you can see below, they've shared some purple hearts on the post that we can't help but take as a sign that the actress is playing Kate Bishop.

Is it possible we're just being trolled at this point? Perhaps, but it would be a little strange for everyone to go to these lengths, especially when Steinfeld's name is still the only one attached to the role (the only reported issue stems from her commitments to Apple TV+ series Dickinson).

Chances are the actress and singer has finally signed up to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and with shooting on Hawkeye set to begin over the next few days, we could soon get a first look at Steinfeld on set as Kate Bishop.

In the comic books, Bishop takes over the mantle from Clint Barton and joins the Young Avengers, a story arc fans are hoping to see play out in this shared world.

We'll be sure to keep you guys updated.
