We were hoping Hawkeye's season finale would have one last surprise for us, and it certainly did...it just wasn't what we were expecting! After the story wraps up and we finally get to learn whether Clint Barton makes it home in time for Christmas, the show delivers its first and only post-credits scene.
After a message appears on screen wishing fans a Happy Holidays from Marvel Studios, we're taken back to Rogers: The Musical and treated to a performance of "I Can Do This All Day" in its entirety.
The song has already been released (you can listen below), but now we get to see the entire musical number from start to finish. It's certainly good fun, but not exactly what some fans will have been hoping for, especially after that ambiguity surrounding a certain big bad's final fate.
Not every post-credits scene has to set up the next big story, of course, but it would have been nice to get something for Echo at the very least. It's also worth noting that, unlike Loki, there was no announcement of a Hawkeye season 2. That's surprising, especially when the response to the series has been so overwhelmingly positive. Knowing Marvel Studios, though, there are already plans in place for Clint and Kate Bishop elsewhere in the MCU.
So, is it worth sticking around for this stinger? It depends on how much you like musicals...
