IRON FIST Has Already Been Cast According To LUKE CAGE's Mike Colter
Earlier today we found out that Marvel and Netflix's Iron Fist series had a writer on board, and it turns out the show may also have its leading man. Find out what Mike Colter had to say after the jump...
Fans have been dying know which actor will be suiting up as Danny Rand in Marvel and Netflix's Iron Fist series, and it seems we're only an official announcement away from finding out. Because we never got word of any shortlist, or even a solid casting rumor, it was assumed that the studio was still searching for someone to step into the role - but not according to Luke Cage himself, Mike Colter.
During an interview with Collider, the Jessica Jones actor eas asked if he was exited about future scenes between his character and fellow Hero For Hire Iron Fist, and here's what he said.
"The actor has been cast, but he’s in a basement somewhere. When the time is right, they’ll let him up and tell him where he is. I am [excited]. I’ll get a nice little break, after doing Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. Whether I’m in [his show], I don’t know, but there’s The Defenders."
So from this, can we assume Marvel is just waiting for the right time to announce the big news? certainly sounds that way. Updates as we get 'em, but for now find out who'll be writing the Iron Fist series.
