Cameras are still rolling on the upcoming Disney+ Ironheart series, and these latest photos from the set seemingly reveal that the show will feature the MCU debut of a new character with ties to Doctor Strange.

Though she doesn't actually appear in the photos, it looks like Zelma Stanton will show up in the Marvel Studios series.

The @DoctorStrangeUpdates Twitter account shared the snaps, one of which shows a storefront with the name “Stanton’s Sweets, Reads, & More.” While this alone probably wouldn't mean very much, a rumor did claim that recent cast addition Regan Aliyah (XO, Kitty) will be playing Zelma, so this does at least lend some credence to the report.

In the comics, Stanton was an ally of Doctor Strange who ultimately became his apprentice and the librarian of the Sanctum Santorum. We have no idea how she'll factor into Ironheart, but wouldn't be surprised if Riri Williams paid her a visit to get some advice on how to combat the mystical threat posed by The Hood - and Mephisto!

Ironheart will also star Dominique Thorne, Anthony Ramos, Manny Montana, Alden Ehrenreich, Shea Couleé and Zoe Terakes.

Sam Bailey (Brown Girls) and Angely Barnes (Mythic Quest) were recently announced as directors, and have reportedly been enlisted to helm at least one episode a piece. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever director Ryan Coogler will executive produce via his Proximity production company.

No premiere date has been announced.

I just don't understand why they are tacking Female Iron Man onto BP2?

What is their justification or rationale for that?

@TyrantBossMedia - because they have to shove in her somewhere there's a chance of people actually seeing her. No one and I mean

NO ONE

cares about Ironheart.

She's been hated in the comics for years. However, BP2 is immune from any and all criticism so it's a perfect place to stick her in so no one can say how awful she is.

@TyrantBossMedia - Well I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I'm assuming that she fits into the narrative in some way. Remember there seems to be a non-Wakandan organization that (according to the trailers) really pisses of the Taloconeans (it's going to take a while to get used to typing that), so she might be involved in that to some degree. Maybe she develops some tech at MIT that is used by some other entity to explore/invade Talocon which is why Shuri sees her out at MIT. Dunno. BUT, I look at it this way: if they are doing Riri's origin story in "BP:WF", they don't have to spend the first couple of episodes of "Ironheart" doing it and can just (presumably) jump into the action (after a likely brief "status quo update" in the first episode). But again, dunno.

@TyrantBossMedia - Probably apart of a Wakanda School exchange form the outreach program. Seems like a reasonable way to introduce her before really introducing her.

@Waifuslayer - You're not lying there. Nobody cares about Ironheart. And isn't she a 15-year-old girl in the comics?

Why is she so old here?

@TyrantBossMedia - it was common in comics that characters eere introduced in other characters series.

But also you should watch and find out

@Waifuslayer - literally. They know eyes will be on this movie no matter what. They could do anything and no one can say anything bad

@JustBrootal - You’re not lying there. Any criticism of this film will be branded racist the same way the criticism was branded as such even though much of it was justified.

@Vigor - Meh, I'll probably wait until it comes on streaming like I did the first one. The Marvel movies just haven't been worth the ticket price lately. The only one that was really any good was Spider-Man NWH.

@TyrantBossMedia - ". Any criticism of this film will be..." I mean, is your comment even a criticism? You don't know why she's in there, you're just complaining just to complain because you probably don't like the character.

@TyrantBossMedia - I feel like you're just preparing to hate this film or hate the ironheart show. Let's see if you can surprise me
