Shade VFX, the company who did the visual effects on Netflix and Marvel Studios' Jessica Jones, posted a video yesterday that takes an in-depth look at how the company used visual effects to improve some of the key scenes in the show. For example, we see how they added the cockroach to the scenes in Jessica's bathroom and how they improve upon the fire in Luke Cage's bar. Furthermore, we also see how they created the effect of Jessica jumping from Killgrave's apartment to the street below.

Shade VFX also previously did the visual effects work on Netflix's Daredevil for which they were nominated for an Emmy for  "Outstanding Visual Effects". Moreover, they have also worked on projects such as The Wolverine, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
