Sophia Di Martino had her first child in 2019, but when filming on Loki began in early 2020, the actress had to return to work pretty quickly.
As a result, the costume she wears to play the Loki Variant, Sylvie, received an unexpected and very thoughtful alteration courtesy of the show's costume designer Christine Wada. Taking to Twitter earlier today, Sophia revealed that modifications to her suit were made which allowed her to pump milk and nurse her baby on set.
This was accomplished through the use of concealed zippers, as you can see from the photo below.
"It's not easy being a working Mama!" she Tweeted alongside that image. "Genius Christine Wada designed Sylvie's costume & added concealed zippers so I could pump easily & nurse my baby between takes. Little (big) things like this that made it possible for me to do my job & be a parent. I'm forever grateful."
The response to this photo online have been overwhelmingly positive, with many users on Twitter praising both Sophia for being a working mom and Christine for the consideration she showed.
In a recent interview with Radio Times, Sophia was asked about possibly playing Sylvie beyond Loki and crypically replied, "I'd love to play her again, but I have no idea about that kind of thing. You have to ask Mr. Feige."
