First Loglines For LUKE CAGE, IRON FIST, And THE DEFENDERS Revealed

Marvel and Netflix's first couple of TV projects, Daredevil and Jessica Jones, have gone down very well with most viewers, and not only do we have second seasons for them on the way, we also have the final 2 shows that will eventually lead into The Defenders.

We've had casting details and a few set snaps from Luke Cage, but details on Iron Fist has been nonexistent thus far. Now, thanks to Collider, we get a look at the first (very) brief loglines for each of the remaining shows.

Marvel’s Luke Cage – In this Marvel live action series, a street-fighting ex-con battles crime on the streets of New York as the Super Hero, Luke Cage

Marvel’s Iron Fist – “Marvel’s Iron Fist” follows Super Hero and martial arts master Danny Rand in the upcoming live-action series. Marvel’s

The Defenders – “Marvel’s The Defenders” brings together Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage in an epic Super Hero team-up in New York City.


Again, not exactly in-depth synopses, but hopefully we'll begin to see a few more details added to Netflix's Marvel page soon. Which of these shows are you most looking forward to?

I'm guessing The Defenders will involve all of New York?(The Island of Manhattan?) or atleast most of it? No way will it be within a few blocks

Maaaaaaan, I remember watching that special so many times on VHS before the internet was really as big a hub for information as it is now. I would always try to draw my crappy little comics while watching it.

I hope a little more money is pumped into Iron Fist than the other solo shows for the look & feel of K'un-L'un & of course Danny's powers.

Depending on who they fight as the Defenders, that needs the same kind of money pumped into it too for Danny's Fight / Power scenes, Jessica's flight scenes & IF the Villains are of alien or supernatural threats (I doubt, but, just in case). Luke & Daredevil don't need as much spent for the C.G. of their powers.

Uhh 1st of all isn't the super hero alias Power-man?

Also aren't these shows about local heroes not "super heroes".


The messaging is mixed-up in regard to promotional brand between mcu at large tv and their tv market.

@AlexanderLykins Don't force yourself to go through something like that. Jessica Jones for me was like they had fused Electra and Cat-woman into 13 hour series. It is the worst. This is coming from a Marvel junkie.

Just watch Dare-Devil and be happy with yourself.

I've got this running theory that the Black Sky is a vessel for the demon that The Hand worships. Perhaps the demon is the "big bad" that the Defenders go up against.

@CopperCrow I think the Hand will be the big bad, but if you've looked at the clues they seem to be setting up the MCU version of Shadowland.
