SECRET INVASION Set Photos Reveal First Look At Nick Fury And Emilia Clarke's Mysterious Character

The first photos from the UK set of Secret Invasion have been revealed, and we see Samuel L. Jackson back as Nick Fury and a first look at the mysterious character played by Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke.

Secret Invasion is now filming in the UK, and we have a look at the first set photos! As you can see, Nick Fury is rocking the beard we saw during that Disney+ Day sneak peek and there's still no sign of his eyepatch. We're not sure what's changed since he appeared (in space) during Spider-Man: Far From Home's post-credits scene, but it feels like the former S.H.I.E.L.D. Director has been through a lot.

The bigger talking point here, however, is our first look at Emilia Clarke as an unknown character.

She's clearly not Abigail Brand (a role it's thought might belong to Olivia Colman) and just looks like a regular woman...a perfect disguise for a Skrull shape-shifter! The prevailing theory online is that this is Talos' daughter, now an adult, living on Earth prior to a potential team-up with Nick Fury.

We know so little about Secret Invasion - including how it will tie into the events of The Marvels - that even speculating is difficult at this stage. It doesn't look like the series will be quite as epic as the comic book it's named after, but who knows what surprises Marvel Studios has in store for us with this one.

Secret Invasion is expected to premiere on Disney+ sometime in 2023.

I don’t care who she’s playing, I’m in love with her eyebrows and nothing can keep us apart.

I'm still not sold on Emila Clarke as a possible Abigail Brand but I 1000% back that over Olivia Coleman. Coleman is a very fine actress, but there is a reason AB is a young, diametric opposite to Fury in the comics. While OC is young compared to SLJ, it just doesn't fit the bill.

@inkniron - Amelia or Coleman I’m fine with either choice they don’t look like comic character in book begin with I like choices marvel has picked

@dragon316 - Has nothing to do with look...exactly. When she was introduced, AB was a 28 year old, brash, fresh faced, young, outside of the box thinker that butted heads with Fury.

While I wouldn't kick her out of bead for getting crumbs in the sheets, Coleman is neither young or fresh faced at all. While Hollywood fudges the age difference between Clarke and AB all of the time, it's hard to hide a 20yr age difference that Coleman sports.

If she's not the Skrull Queen I'd be very surprised.
