Tim Roth recently made his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, marking the first time we've seen the villain since 2008's The Incredible Hulk. He appears to be a new man who has reformed, though we're still not entirely sure whether Emil Blonsky can be trusted.
He is The Abomination, remember, and a villainous turn would not be out of character for him.
Talking to Entertainment Weekly, Roth admitted that fans should keep a close eye on Blonsky now that he's a free man. "He's been kept in maximum security solitary confinement for a very long time. What does that do to someone? Where does that lead him? And who is this guy now? Should we have a leap of faith in him or not?"
"That's for you to find out," the actor continues. "The mischief is just all the way in there, and there's more to come. You'll see. I know what's coming. I hope we get away with it, I can only say that."
It became clear that something was going on with The Abomination when we saw him fighting Wong in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The latest episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law established that the Sorcerer Supreme took Blonsky there against his will, though Roth admits he hasn't actually watched that movie as of yet.
He did, however, have a little more to say about where his character will head next in this Disney+ series. Roth revealed that he gets to share the screen with Mark Ruffalo, suggesting Bruce Banner returns to Earth at some point after setting off in that spaceship last Thursday.
"There is a slight bit of confusion when I see him," Roth says. "We riffed on that a lot when we were shooting but I don't know if any of it made it in. 'You really put on weight,' that kind of stuff. It's very funny. But listen, I got to work with two great actors, that's the bottom line. Ed's fantastic, and Mark Ruffalo, I've always wanted to work with Mark Ruffalo, and I got to do it."
Roth did specify that he's unsure whether that scene made the final cut, but fingers crossed. Jameela Jamil has also been shown in a photo with Ruffalo decked out in his motion-capture costume, so we'd bet on the Jade Giant factoring into the show again soon.
The first three episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law are now streaming on Disney+.
