Are you still holding out hope for see Daredevil and the Defenders to appear in the 2017 Spider-Man reboot, or team up with the Avengers and Guardians in Avengers: Infinity War?, then hold your hopes up, as Daredevil star Chalie Cox has said there havent been any conversations for that. Cox stated "There was no conversation about joining any of the movies," although he said he would jump at the chance to appear in a Marvel movie. "Who wouldn't want to be in the highest grossing film of all time?"

So unless he's just being coy in order to avoid revealling information he's not supposed to reveal yet, dont expect any of the small screen stars to pop out in the movies in the near future. also as Charlie Cox confirmed that Defenders will start shooting this year, that could very well affect any possible appearances in Spider-Man or Infinity, since both movies will be shooting around the same time as Defenders, so the schedule for the actors could serve as a issue against them appearing in the Big Screen.

Take this with a grain of salt, Charlie Cox isn't privy to whats going to happen at the end. The Netflix and ABC crews just need to keep doing a good job and everything else will work out.

I hope to god they crossover

Yet.

Feige and Loeb need to make this happen. The Defenders need to cameo (at least) in IW.

@marvelstudios - The real problem is Perlmutter, and word on the street is he is still more than a little miffed. It will take someone like Iger to step in. Given the success of the MCU as well as the Netflix MTU, I'm not sure he will want to monkey with what's working. I'd love it if he did, though.

@Cles - True, both are successful. But that isn't a reason why they should be stay like this. Combining both departments would lead to more success.

@marvelstudios - I don't disagree with that at all. It's just that Feige and Perlmutter have a history of not working well together, and after Feige won his freedom tensions will likely be high. That can be bad for production, and harm quality.

@Cles - That said, what they REALLY should do, is give all live action to Feige. Move Loeb out from under the current structure, and under Marvel Studios film division. That way, cross pollination would be considerably more seamless.
marvelstudios
marvelstudios - 4/11/2016, 9:49 AM
@Cles - Don't think that will happen. Not sure Feige can handle all those properties.

I still think the Defenders or at the very least DD will appear in one of the movies. Crazier things have happened (Spiderman).

@marvelstudios - I don't think so either. Just my idea of a better scenario.

1. Marvel Snipers

2. No discussions now doesn't mean that they won't come later

3. Cox already let us know (when he was ding press for Season 1) that his contract includes a clause where he and the other Defenders CAN appear in the films

I have to admit that this doesn't really surprise me. I would love it if Marvel Film and Marvel Television could get over their differences to make it happen, but I just don't know. I do think, though, that if anyone from the street level universe could hang with the more talented actors in the MCU, it is Charlie Cox. That guy is s study in subtlety. If it doesn't happen, that's cool too. Marvel/Netflix is cooking up one hell of a universe, and if even half of the rumors are true, it will get a lot better.

even if he did have conversations about a movie I doubt he is allowed to give the public any hint about it. So im not buying it

I don't take much from this at all. For one, Charlie Cox always totes the company line and holds back anything too crazy. Secondly, just because they haven't talked to him yet doesn't mean that it won't happen. Lastly, he could just be lying as they could be meant as a surprise. All options are possibilities.

Daredevil and Punisher interacting is better than most of the MCU.

And as some of you know, I LOVE the MCU.

This is not the news I want to hear. Hopefully Spider-Man can at least show up in Daredevil though and both can take on Kingpin.

@BlackIceJoe - I'd be curious to know the terms of the character share. I know Marvel Studios has tv animation rights, but wonder if they have live action as well. If so, would they need to use someone other than Holland? There are tons of opportunities and pitfalls that have come from the joining of the Sony and Marvel forces.

eagc1995 - 4/11/2016, 9:46 AM
@BlackIceJoe - Dont expect that neither, as Kevin Feige seemed to have hinted that Spider-Man can neither appear in the shows, as last year when they asked him if Spider-Man could appear in the shows, his awnser was that normally he would said anything is possible, but the contract was specific on what they can and cant do.

Insider spoke of the situation inside Marvel that is Game of Thrones like. Perlmutter is asshole having his revenge on Feige.

They manage to strike a deal with Sony but are unable to team up between the TV and film divisions. Ah, well.

How can it not happen eventually though? Obviously storytelling wise it will be difficult....but with the Russos in charge, there is no way they can't make it work. Also this will make Disney even more $$$$$$$ with the success of Daredevil/Jessica Jones and the critical praise for Punisher, i'm 99% sure it will happen and being actively discussed. The actors in these shows aren't just CW actors, they're big time actors who can hold their own on the big screen no doubt in my mind or anyone else's either.

Cap: "Hells Kitchen is overflowing we need ground forces ASAP. "

Coulson : "All current Troops are currently preoccupied. Any suggestions?"

Parker: "Coulson I'm calling you Iron hand from now on. Hope that's cool. Calling in The Defenders, they literally have a blind guy that could kick your ass and the New Warrior, their kind of my buds. "

Coulson and Steve Together:"Holy Shit"

Stark: "Language ".
