WandaVision has brought S.W.O.R.D. into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and both Ant-Man and The Wasp's JImmy Woo and Thor/Thor: The Dark World's Darcy Lewis have returned as a result. The latter is a doctor now, and while actress Kat Dennings has said on multiple occasions that she won't be in Thor: Love and Thunder, she does have a future in this shared world.
During a recent interview with ExtraTV, Dennings confirmed that she's already shot another project for Marvel Studios (but later reiterated that it's not the Thor: Ragnarok sequel).
"There are some things I've done for Marvel that are coming out that are not [WandaVision], uh, but I probably can't say," the actress teased. "Yeah we'll just leave it at...I- Yeah."
Thinking about the movies and TV shows which have been shot, there are a few likely possibilities. Eternals is one of them, as is The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Black Widow is another, though we find it hard to imagine how a character like Darcy could fit into that particular movie. Of course, it might not be a live-action project at all, as we know What If? has assembled an A-List cast.
It's definitely exciting to think we'll see more of the character, as she's been a highlight in WandaVision. She had a surprisingly lengthy absence from the MCU, but could now be crucial to Phase 4.
Where do you hope to see Dr. Darcy Lewis next?
