STRANGER THINGS Creator Matt Duffer Says He Knows How The Show Will End

It's been quite some time since anything Stranger Things related has popped up in the news. However, creator and director Matt Duffer has now stated he has an idea of how the show will end overall...

Stranger Things took the world by storm, and now the show's fans are gearing up for a fourth season, even though there's still no official premiere date. Of course, even if the Duffer Bros had a date in mind, with the pandemic causing everything to shut down, there's a good chance it would be delayed. Regardless, fans have been wondering how exactly a show like this will end.

Matt Duffer had the following to say to Deadline.

"We like to look at each season as kind of its own complete story. We do have a pretty large mythology. I think when we were developing Season 1, and to Netflix's credit, they sort of pressured us to make sure we had this mythology really hammered out. We had like a 25-page sort of Stranger Things mythology that only maybe a small handful of people have seen. So season by season, we're kind of turning the page and revealing a little bit more and more."

He continued, "So we do have a general sense of where we're going. We've known the ending of the show for quite a while."

A show like this deserves one heck of a final bow, so it will be interesting to see what direction the story is taken in. Also, regarding season four specifically, Matt Duffer said they will have a few surprise guest stars coming in. With Netflix giving them as large as budget as is needed, one has to wonder who they possibly could've recruited this time.

How would you like to see Stranger Things end? Are you excited for season four? Leave your thoughts down below.

Such a great show, cast, story, etc. I hope that they are not in a rush to end it but also don’t keep it going too long, either. I don’t want to see it jump the shark.

Don't really care what they do as long as my boy Steve sticks it out to the end! :)

Really looking forward to this! S3 was a huge improvement over S2 imo

Season 3 was a much needed improvement over the messy season 2.
Season 4 should be the last one because even though season 3 was an improvement over 2, they both were missing the mystery and intrigue of season 1. But now that we know almost everything about the Upside Down it’s going to take something big to shake it up...

Like the Upside Down is actually also earth but had been overrun by demagorgons or something.

Steve and Maya Hawke make for a good team. Hope they get a lot to do together going forward.

You mean like Matthew Fox also knew how LOST would end for quite a long time? Anyone with half a you-know-what could have called the final shot (and you know what I mean when I say you-know-what...).

I'm hoping we get a bounty hunter-esque character. Someone who actively hunts down creatures of the upside down as a living.
