Universal Studios has announced that park guests will be able to return to Hawkins, Indiana via an all-new haunted house inspired by Netflix's
Stranger Things.
This is the
second year in a row that
Stranger Things will be a part of Halloween Horror Nights, although this will be an entirely new experience drawing from season two, as well as the upcoming third season. Universal released a brief "reveal" video to accompany the announcement, as well as a general overview of the experience.
This year, you’ll experience an all-new haunted house where you will travel back to the small town of Hawkins, Indiana and walk-through some of the most terrifying scenes from Stranger Things 2 and 3.
Not only will you come face-to-face with snarling Demodogs, but you will also make your way through iconic scenes and locations, from Chief Hopper’s cabin to the Starcourt Mall.
We first saw Chief Hopper's cabin in season two and Starcourt Mall
figures to be an important setting in season three. It was featured prominently in
the most recent trailer for the upcoming season.
This new version of the
Stranger Things haunted house will be featured in Universal Studios Orlando as well as Universal Studios Hollywood. Halloween Horror Nights runs from September 6 through November 2.
Meanwhile, season three of
Stranger Things returns to Netflix on July 4, 2019.
