THE WITCHER Season 2 Has Officially Resumed Production After Delays Caused By COVID-19

There's good news for fans of The Witcher today as plenty of evidence has mounted which suggests that the Netflix series has officially resumed production after delays which came as a result of COVID-19...

Both the producer and a director working on The Witcher have confirmed that production on season two has resumed, albeit with plenty of social distancing measures in place. Work on the show actually kicked off back in January, but it had to be halted due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

While it was reported that work would officially resume on August 17th (which was actually when work was expected to conclude on season two) it seems things have kicked off sooner than expected.

Stephen Surjik, who is set to direct the first two episodes of The Witcher season two, has taken to Instagram to shed some light on the measures which are in place to combat the pandemic. Showrunner and producer Lauren S. Hissrich has also posted a photo revealing that she and Surjik have been social distancing on set as they discuss how to bring this world to life.

Recently, Hissrich revealed that a number of changes have been made to the scripts for season two to tighten up the story and make them better, so we could be in for a real treat sometime next year.

Unfortunately, that's probably the soonest we can expect to see The Witcher return to Netflix...

Here's to hoping season 2 is better. I'm still mad about ATLA's original creators walked away. How can they give anybody else a pile of money and total freedom to make God awful original series, yet they wouldn't do what they asked? I bet it has to to with pleasing China! Lol or maybe they want to whitewash the cast? Idk work is slow

Ah, who cares. I wanted to like season 1 because it was the Witcher. Even went around hyping it up a bit. Upon reflection... nope. Didnt like the portrails of the characters. Comedy was forced and off timed. Cavill was a miscast. Story was all over the place. To much gloss. Casting overall sucked. Action was ok in bits.

I dont care about this show anymore. Tried to force being a Witcher fan, but no. Prolly skip season 2.

The Witcher got KKed. Bad showrunner with not enough love for the franchise.

Looking forward to this. I really dug the first season for the most part, I just hope they stop with the jumping back and forth in time shit. It was such an unnecessary mechanic that served no purpose other than to confuse audiences IMO. I think that without that and the bard cutting in constantly, both of which completely interrupt the flow of the story, it would be fantastic.

So that's why Cavill wasn't listed for Fandome. Although people think he's gonna have a surprise appearance. One of the scoopers on Twitter said most stuff was prerecorded anyways.
