Netflix has shared another teaser for The Witcher, and this one puts the spotlight on Geralt of Rivia.

The brief promo doesn't reveal much (we still don't know when the series is set to return to the streaming service), but there are some hints of the threats to come. We know that Geralt will be training Ciri after he finally tracked her down in the season one finale, while set photos have spoiled a big villain reveal

It was recently confirmed that an event called "WitcherCon" will take place on July 9, and we're anticipating some big news about the world of The Witcher to arrive then. Needless to say, you'll want to make sure you're checking CBM regularly that day as a premiere date and trailer are likely.

Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Geralt of Rivia in the upcoming second season, as will Anya Chalotra (Yennefer), Freya Allan (Ciri), and Joey Batey (Jaskier).

New additions include Yasen Atour as the witcher Coen, Agnes Bjorn as the bruxa Vereena, Paul Bullion as the witcher Lambert, Thue Ersted Rasmussen as the witcher Eskel, Aisha Fabienne Ross as Lydia, Kristofer Hivju as Nivellen, and Mecia Simson as Francesca. There are also some big rumours doing the rounds about the show's new villain, but we won't spoil that here.

Check out the teaser below:

The first season was a one and done watch for me, I enjoyed it but it didn’t have that rewatchable feeling for me so hopefully the second season takes what was good about the first season and multiplies it making it even better. 👍

@AnthonyVonGeek - it left me starving for more Witcher content, but definitely didn't leave me feeling satisfied. I'm also hoping season 2 improves. Not that season 1 was bad by any means, just didn't provide any rewatchability for me. I am looking forward to more tho.

@AnthonyVonGeek - I rewatched Season 1 or Witcher more times than any other show. Probably 6-7 times. The second time through, I turned on subtitles and then started to realize how much more was going on than I realized. The obscure place names, monster names, and various accents make it hard to catch everything, and I was still catching new things during the fifth re-watch. For me, it was a show that actually got more interesting as I rewatched it.

@dracula - yea I wasn’t a fan of it. It was middling at best but it had a highlight here and there.

So pumped for this! My only hope is that some of the writing and dialogue by supporting characters is a bit better.

Love Cavill as Geralt.

Cool. Despite its faults I thought S1 was still a fun watch.

The first season didn't work all that well at times, but with everything caught up I think the second season will feel more coherent.

And even if it's not, I don't mind watching another 8 episodes of watching Cavill as Geralt. He is one good looking dude.
