THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT "Chapter 2" Features Some BIG Surprises And An Unexpected Live-Action Debut - SPOILERS

The Book of Boba Fett really got into the swing of things with today's second episode, and there were some big surprises for fans of this Galaxy Far, Far Away, including an awesome live-action debut...

We didn't spend a huge amount of time in the present during today's episode of The Book of Boba Fett, though the scenes were packed full of major reveals. We got to meet the mayor - Mok Shaiz, played by Robert Rodriguez - but it was Jabba the Hutt's cousins who made the biggest splash in Mos Espa.

The twin Hutts made it clear they intend on ruling Tatooine in the wake of Jabba's demise. However, Lord Fett didn't back down and had no interest in relinquishing the throne he recently took as his own.

It was then they revealed someone we'd say Fett should be very concerned about.

Black Krrsantan was introduced by Marvel Comics, and is a Wookie bounty hunter who was originally captured from his homeworld Kashyyyk and trained by the infamous Xonti Brothers as a gladiator. Later, he'd become an assassin regularly employed by Jabba the Hutt, though Black Krrsantan even worked for Darth Vader during the Galactic Civil War.

Simply put, he's not to be trifled with, and things in Mos Espa are clearly about to get messy. We'd bet on the Hutts having more than the one bounty hunter on the payroll, of course, so it should be fun to see who else Fett is pitted against over the coming weeks (many fans remain hopeful Cad Bane will finally make his live-action debut).

Check out some shots of Black Krrsantan in action below:

@DarthOmega - I'm loving the deep dive into the Tusken Raider culture. Something I never thought I wanted to see but they've done it so well. It's fascinating.

Boba talks too much and he kills too little. Thus, no one takes him seriously.

Still not feeling this one, unfortunately.
I didn't care to know about Boba's time prior to the Mandalorian to begin with, and this whole Tuskan Raiders arc isn't doing anything to make me intrigued.
Boba isn't being the intimidating crime lord that the Mandalorian after credit scene teased him to be. Are they afraid that the audience wouldn't like him?
Aside from that, something feels a little off about the production as a whole. The sets don't feel like real places, the aliens look like people in costumes. I know that's very much a staple of the old Star Wars, but it's not doing it any favors now, especially that the newer Star Wars production, from the Force Awakens to the Mandalorian, didn't feel that way for the most part.

@Fares - Wow. Hey man, different tastes I guess. I feel the complete opposite. Especially with the sets. They look more like real places in this show than it did with the Mandolorian, which very much felt like a stage at times. The "Volume" screen they used must have upgraded for this show.

Also, the alien mayor felt very real. Also, I was very intrigued to see what Boba was up to after escaping the Sarlacc Pit. How'd he escape? How did he find his way to Mando? He was taken in by Tuskan Raiders, and shown their way of life. To each their own I guess, but I'm freaking loving it. I hope the next episodes win you over.

@DarthOmega - I appreciate the different point of view. I'm still sticking with the show so I hope I get what I'm waiting for in the next one. But I'll give it to you, the Alien Mayor was pretty rad.
When it comes to the flashbacks, I guess it would've served me better if they were shorter and went ahead faster to the point where we meet him in Mandalorian.

Enjoying the Dances with Wolves-like flashbacks to his time with the Tuskens. Interested to know how he leaves things with them before setting out on his own.

Gotta be honest – I didn't even remember a new episode was out until I saw the articles just now. Maybe I'll watch the season once it's completed, but based on the first episode and the description of this one I'm not even sure. Guess I'll read spoilers for a few more episodes.

I didn’t even know there was a new episode. The hype around this seems to have completely fizzled. Way better than episode one but that’s not saying much. They’ve robbed Boba of what makes him Boba to me. He talks A LOT. And he’s not as cold and callous as he usually is. Also, the locations don’t feel real, they feel like sound stages. The landscapes and places in Mando felt real.

The Tusken Raiders have been stealing the show.

The second I saw that wookiee I thought:

That's gotta be SOMEBODY.

Didn't know him tough.
That being said if Embo or Cad Bane are gonna show up --> I will probably lose it.

Incredible episode. Great action, epic production values, I've loved the exploration of Tusken culture, and Morrison is just SO DARN CHARISMATIC as Boba. This really should have been a two-parter with the pilot though. But can't wait for next week.

Sooooo much better than the first episode, which I think exists to just really setup the 2nd episode in a slower fashion. 9/10

Way way better. Not totally, but I think this episode is getting at why he's "peaceful." It's because of his time with the Tusken Raiders, and how he was able to earn their respect. He has his armor back, but he's wearing their robes under it.

Loved this episode - people have to understand there’s a reason why Fett is not wilding out as much (not yet anyway) he’s become wiser - but don’t be fooled / he still will kick ass and be the bad ass we know - there’s a rhyme and reason - he told the Hutts he has a cold name plate that says “I wish you would” lol
