Though the series certainly has its defenders, it's probably fair to say that The Book of Boba Fett proved to be the most divisive of the Disney+ Star Wars shows yet.
After originally playing the character's father, Jango Fett, in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, Temuera Morrison debuted as the legendary villain-turned-hero in season 2 of The Mandalorian before returning for his own spin-off series. Though the actor's performance was praised, many felt TBOBF failed to utilize "the most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy" to his full potential.
We still don't know if Morrison will reprise the role, but if the actor has any say in the matter, Fett will return to the Galaxy Far, Far Away sooner rather than later.
During an appearance on the Whatnot UK live podcast, Morrison said he's planning to drop into Lucasfilm on his way back to New Zealand to ensure that Fett is not left "on the shelf" for too long.
"There's a few things happening in L.A... I'm looking to pop into L.A. on the way home to New Zealand... and see what's happening in the galaxy. This is why I was gonna pop in and see what's going on, and make sure they're not gonna put me on a shelf."
Morrison is probably joking here, but this is not the first time he's indicated that he's not particularly pleased about the way his character was treated (it was recently confirmed that Fett was originally supposed to appear in season 3 of The Mandalorian).
In the same interview, the Aquaman actor reiterated his desire to play a live-action take on Captain Rex, who is rumored to make his debut in Ahsoka.
