Rumors have been circulating for a while now that more characters from the animated side of the galaxy far, far away might be set to make the hyper-jump to live-action for the upcoming Ahsoka Disney+ series, and we now appear to have confirmation that the fan-favorite force-wielder will be joined by at least one of her Star Wars Rebels allies.
According to THR, "Lucasfilm is looking for an actress to star opposite Rosario Dawson as Mandalorian warrior Sabine Wren" in the planned The Mandalorian spinoff. No further details were provided, but if this is accurate, we should hear more fairly soon.
There was a lot of speculation that WWE Superstar Mercedes Varnado, aka Sasha Banks, had been cast as Wren in season 2 of The Mandalorian, but she turned out to be playing a different Mando altogether.
In the closing moments of the Rebels series finale, Ahsoka and Sabine embarked on a mission to find Ezra Bridger after the young Jedi was seemingly sucked into a wormhole during his battle with Grand Admiral Thrawn. Though these events weren't mentioned specifically in Tano's episode of The Mandalorian, there were a few hints that she might be searching for answers during her confrontation with Magistrate Morgan Elsbeth.
Both Ezra and Thrawn have also been rumored to make their live-action debuts in Ahsoka, but we haven't had any solid updates on that front in a while.
