While we did see a handful of set photos and videos for Venom: Let There Be Carnage back when cameras were rolling, Sony Pictures has done a great job keeping the movie's plot under wraps.
We haven't seen any leaked promo art or merchandise, and while the title makes it clear that Eddie Brock and Cletus Kasady will go toe-to-toe, how that battle will play out obviously remains to be seen. While we wait for some official updates, newly surfaced behind-the-scenes videos (shared by MMA fighter Dan Vinni) show star Tom Hardy working on his fighting skills.
Motion-capture technology has been used to recreate his movements instantly on a nearby monitor. It's pretty incredible to see, though we shouldn't be surprised that technology like this is being utilised when an actor and filmmaker like Andy Serkis is calling the shots.
When we spoke to him last month, Serkis told us: "I’m super excited about it. Again, it’s not something I can particularly talk about right now because we’re saving it for when everybody can go and enjoy it in the cinema. I don’t want to blow it or talk about it too much before then, but I’ve had a ball working on that film. It’s been great. [It’s] another bunch of brilliant actors. I hope you won’t feel disappointed. It was a real pleasure working on it."
