In an all new interview with ComputerAndVideogames.com, Dax Ginn the director of marketing at Rocksteady Studios talked a little bit about working with a character as Batman on the videogames, and for how long Rocksteady will keep working on games for the character:

Man. That's really tough, he pondered. I mean I think as long as we're still enjoying it and as long as we feel we can contribute to the Batman universe... That's how it feels. There's some amazing stuff going on with Batman all around the world at the moment and we feel as though we're making our own little contribution in the form of the Arkham-verse.

So as long as we've got stories to tell. So long as we feel we can do that and do that really well.

There's no other character that's as awesome as Batman who's got such an incredible rogues gallery, who's got such and amazing structure for gameplay. All it takes is to give a guy an assault rifle and it changes the entire nature of combat.

So you can put Batman up against 30 thugs in the street and just cane them and feel like a total don but as soon as one of them's got a shotgun you have to rethink what you do. That's really rare for a superhero and we really love using the facets of his personality to create gameplay out of that.

I don't know what's going to happen in the future but right now I feel like we're in a real sweet spot with the games that we're making, the opportunities that we have so I don't really want that to change.

Batman: Arkham City is coming on October 18th in USA and October 21st on Europe and Brazil for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC!

my suggested storylines for a 3rd game:
1)Hush- have a lot of detective/mystery elements involving Hush
2) a mysterious figure (Ra's Al Ghul, Hush, Red Hood, Lex Luthor, whoever) releases all the Arkham inmates and you get to roam Gotham, round up the prisoners, and figure out who let them out.
3) No Man's Land

I will absolutely buy Arkham City, but I think they should leave Arkham behind if they do a third Batman game. Maybe the next one could be Batman: Gotham Crusader.

Yes, absolutly. The next one should (has to) be Batman: Gotham City. We should be free to patrol Gotham with a great story line that puts you up against major baddies with access to the Batcave, Wayne Manor, the police station for meetings with Gordon, Alfred!!! Think about it! It has to be what's coming next.

>branch out into other DC characters

Yes, They could make one for each major character.

WONDER WOMAN needs a good game of her own, seeing her 3d model in "Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe" makes me crave for it.
Make it like "God of War" meets "Charlie´s Angels".

What about the cancelled FLASH game for the PS3?

@N:
Stop eating cheetos and getting your dick orange man, you clearly miss the concept I'm talking about. I'm saying the next one should leave the prison concept and focus more on the daily routine of being Batman. You know, patroling, being called by Gordon for help, chasing villains in Gotham hot spots and incorporating allies in the storyline and not just as DLC for challenge maps. Arkham City will be 5 times the size of Arkham Asylum. Imagine if you can access all of Gotham!

This should be on main. But man, i hope they can pull it off. Or at least continue the series with more freedom to roam both Arkham City and Gotham... hell, maybe *that* could be the next plot. Just hope they actually let you ride the batmobile/batwing given that time. :P
