Scans leaked online from a user on a Mortal Kombat fansite, from an early released copy of Game Informers Feb. issue have confirmed the inclusion of fan-favorites Jade and Goro.

Mortal Kombat creator, and head of the newly formed Netherealm Studios, Ed Boon, mentions that Goro in this game is going to be a "boss", continuing to say that Goro, Shao Kahn, and Shang Tsung have a certain "mystique" as bosses.

"Goro's Lair", a stage from Mortal Kombats original 3 games was also confirmed.

I'll try and update the article when better quality pictures become available. Appearantly there are still some pictures from the magazine that haven't been leaked, one being Goro punching Nightwolf, and then concept art for "Goro's Lair". So hopefully we'll see those soon!

hell yea, it was almost a for sure they were going to appear because Ed Boon said if you had any favorite character from mortal kombat 1-3...there is a high chance he/she will be in the game. BTW nice find man...Super pumped for this game

If Liu Kang isn't in this then that will be the biggest upset. He is the main guy!

@jazzman Liu Kang is definitely returning. If you recall, Mortal Kombat versus DC Universe had Mortal Kombats "all-star" characters in it. And Liu Kang was one of them, so there's no way they're leaving him out.

@ASSviolater Yea, Ed also said that 99.9% of characters from UMK3 will be in this game. So far, everyones either pegged Rain or Sheeva as the 00.1%. Funny name by the way!

@Lucaxmen No, thats not Sheeva unfortunately, thats Goro.

@ Everyone, Thanks!

I didn't play MK v DCU but I thought Liu Kang died in that MK Alliance game and was a zombie in the MK Armageddon. Perhaps they will bring back zombie Liu Kang in this one?

MKvsDCU was decent, but suffered from a massive limit of characters. With today's tech and knowledge of these games, they need to cram every character possible into a game like this. Seriously, ... all of 'em.
