There's a huge amount of excitement for Grand Theft Auto 6 and, hot off the heels of fans celebrating Grand Theft Auto 5's ninth anniversary, footage from the upcoming video game has leaked online.
While there was some initial speculation that it might not be real, Rockstar soon started pulling down videos...but not quite as quickly as they were, and still are, going up. Thought to be early development footage from the upcoming sixth instalment, it's got gamers even more hyped for the game, despite showcasing visuals that are a long way off from being done.
You can CLICK HERE to check out some of the best examples of leaked footage, though a quick look on social media, Reddit, and YouTube suggests there are upwards of 90 videos and screenshots currently doing the rounds.
Among the highlights are GTA 6's rumoured Bonnie and Clyde-like protagonists robbing a diner, heading inside a strip club, and witnessing first-hand how NCPs will act and converse in the game. And yes, it takes place in Vice City!
There are also hints that Rockstar is following Red Dead Redemption 2's example by giving players a realistic number of weapons and having us actually carry them on their person rather than pulling a giant flamethrower out of nowhere! Those NCPs also seem more realistic than ever before, and we can't help but think this...might be the best game ever?
That certainly sounds like hyperbole, but what other conclusion can we come to? In terms of sheer interactivity and realism, it's hard to think of any other game that comes close to what Rockstar looks set to deliver with this sixth instalment of the franchise.
Confirming that the leaks are legit is this newly released statement from the Grand Theft Auto 6 developers:
