Just a month away from it's release date,I decided to make this preview for a unique PS3 video game Heavy Rain.
Heavy Rain is being developed by Quantic Dream, who previously worked on a game called Fahrenheit(in North America known as Indigo Prophecy),which was one of the first games to use interactive cinema technology.
Heavy Rain is directed by Quantic Dream's founder David Cage, and in an interview he said:
"Heavy Rain is about normal people who have landed in extraordinary situations. I wanted a much more personal story. The first thing that came to my mind, as a father of two little boys, was that the main theme should simply be a father's love for his son. This is not a game about saving the princess or the world. It's purely about a father's love. The main story will revolve around four different characters, and we're putting the spotlight on their perceptions. The question 'what is good and what is evil' is the key here, that will be just a matter of viewpoint...I believe heavily in moral choices, I'm going to use them A LOT. They're not about being good or bad, but about finding the right balance."
THE STORY:
Heavy Rain is focused on four characters which are all playable.First there is a retired private detective named Scott Shelby,a FBI profiler Norman Jayden,a journalist named Madison Paige and an architect called Ethan Mars.
All characters will be looking for a serial killer known as The Origami Killer.
The victims of the killer are all drowned, four days after they go missing. The only clue he left is the origami figure on their bodies.Four very diffrent people are drawn into the investigation to find a new potential victim-Shaun Mars.
The first review of the game is from the Official PlayStation Magazine and they gave it a 9/10,calling the game "one of the freshest, most exciting, and even important games on PS3 so far".
And here are some videos for the game:
