Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2

is probably the must have game of the season (not counting batman)
for any comic book fan-boy. for those of you that don't know what the story is
going to be about here is a quick little recap for you.

"The story starts with Secret War. We're using Nick Fury's invasion of Latveria as a jumping off point. The rest of the story is derived from the consequences of those actions,"states Dan Tanguay creative director for Vicarious Visions.

The game will then follow the Civil War story arc: a fight between heroes and villains causes an explosion in Stamford, Connecticut. Killing 612 civilians (including a number of school children), the government labels this "Super Powered Negligence", and the public demand a Superhuman Registration Act. The government passes the act, and all meta-humans are forced to adhere to or disobey the law. In the game, players are able to choose between the Pro-Registration side headed by Iron Man and Mister Fantastic with Songbird following them, or the Anti-Registration side, lead by Captain America and Luke Cage with Iron Fist working with them. These heroes are locked into their specific side, but the other characters are playable on either side of the conflict. Multiple endings are available, and are determined by the side chosen at the beginning of the game. Tanguay stated that the story will follow into the aftermath of the Civil War.
(this sounds great to me!!)

now lets get to the good part,here is a COMPLETE character list for you guys

Spider-Man, Storm, Thing, Thor, Venom, Wolverine, Bishop, Blacklash,
Black Widow, Bullseye, Cable, Cloak and Dagger, Diamondback,Firestar,
Grim Reaper, Hercules ,Jack O'Lantern, Lady Deathstrike, Maria Hill,
Multiple Man, Nick Fury, Patriot, She-Hulk, War Machine, Wonder Man,
Lucia von Bardas, Electro, Tinkerer,..

and im sure a couple other characters will show up as "downloadable content" also all characters will have alternate costums which are unlocked as you play,including non other than STAN "the man" LEE..which will be his debut in the video game univese

It's really awesome that that they have Multiple Man in it... but no Dr. Strange? What gives?

dr. strange was fasting for the duration of civil war. he did not want to be used as a deciding factor in this conflict. he was just hoping that theoutcome would be swift and shed extremely little blood.

Did I read that right? Stan 'Excelsior' Lee is a PLAYABLE charater in UA2?! You've got to be [expletive]-ing kindding me! This is a JOKE, right?! SOMEONE, PLEASE... tell me this is a JOKE! THe unmittigated ARRROGANCE fo the man...! Remember when they said that Aunt May was going to be a playable character (supposedly as a joke)? So they lied about the name, but I guess the usless geriatric bit was true! So what's his super-power going to be - the ability to bore a person to death with his super-non-sensical-rambling? ...Ooo, what about his super-ego! ...or how about his super-arrogance? This makes me SICK! When I get the game and 'unlock' Stan, I'm going to have fun trying to destroy the character in various gruesome and disgusting ways. 'Excelsior' this famboy!

I don't think Stan Lee is a playable character but he is definitely in the game.

I'm also glad they have alternate costumes and Wolverine better have his brown & tans available.

Sorry about the multiple posts, they won't let me delete the extras. Weak.

I just just looked on the official web site, confirmed playable characters are: Dare Devil, Green Goblin, Human Torch, Invisible Woman, Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, Luke Cage, Mr. Fantastic, Dead Pool, Juggernaut (pre-order), Thing, Spider-Man, Storm, Songbird, Thor, Iron Fist, Wolverine, Venom, Gambit, Penance, Ms.Marvel, Jean Grey and one more still to be announced.

Everyone else is NPC, like Bishop, Cable, Stan Lee etc. etc. until confirmed otherwise.

some characters are not yet confirmed as "playable"
..but at least 80 percent is playable..or unlockable,or downloadable,some are confirmed villians(you can play as)..and stan lee
has a cameo..and might be downloadable,or unlocked im still not sure

@peterparker420 - I've been lead to believe that Stan Lee is a cameo. There is also rumors of DLC packs, like an "X-Men" one that may include Cyclops, Emma Frost, Rogue and Archangel.

They have one more playable character to reveal and is speculated to be either Punisher or Hawkeye.

Apart from the ones I've mentioned above in a previous post and the yet to be revealed character, everyone else you've mentioned are NPC with a slight possibly of a select few being unlocked as in-game content, like Cable.

But regardless, with the current roster and talks of multiple DLC character packs, there won't be a shortage of characters to play.

Cool...definitely buying this one..i didnt know Juggy was only available through pre order..oh crap...but i dont like all the pay to download crap...

no one knows if stan will be DLC or
unlockable..he might not be either

if punisher or hawkeye are in the game that
is even more exciting..the DLC like"x-men"
will be sweet!! but we wont know for sure
until the game is out (maybe for a while)
but ya cant wait for this one!!!

@Rumblebeast - I'm with you on the paying for DLC. XBOX Live is horrible for it and far too expensive on everything.

@peterparker420 - Yeah, I'm looking forward to September 15th when it hits shelves. If the different packs do become a reality, I'd bite the bullet and pay to play Archangel. He's never been a playable before on anything.

Punisher has to be in it. How can they do a civil war based game without the Punisher, especially since they're looking for new characters people would want to play?

I already have this preordered. It's gonna be so sick. However, not all those characters are playable. I really hope the last reveal is Punisher though. I'm sure there will be some character packs somewhere down the road but i'm just ready for this game to be out already. Aside from the roster I hated the first one. I hope this one is as good as it looks.
