More 'Batman: Arkham Asylum' DLC coming this week!

Two additional Challenge Maps for the critically acclaimed 'Batman: Arkham Asylum' are on the way!

The new content will be available beginning September 24th as a free download on PlayStationNetwork and Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

In the 'Heart of Darkness' FreeFlow Combat map, players will battle a mob of relentless and maniacal enemies at the Arkham Pumping Station. Even the most seasoned Batman: Arkham Asylum player will enjoy stepping into the boots of BATMAN to take down increasingly difficult waves of insane inmates.

In the 'Hothouse Prey' Invisible Predator map, players will have to rely on their Predator instincts to silently and effectively take down enemies at the Abandoned Glasshouse.

spideysweb & antz1104: Thanks guys, this is great news! I actually ahvent gotten round to playing last weeks DLC yeat because I've been playing Fallout 3 (50hrs and counting!!!)

I just checked the other night and I didn't see any new downloads??? I'll check 2nite. @josh, i've now solved all of the riddles, and now at the Joker on Hard mode. Man he is tough to beat on Hard. All I have left are the challengs. Love this game.

@ Josh/spidey: I played through story first, then the challenges. It was like a whole 2nd game. Pair that w/ all the free download and this game keeps gettin' better. I'm actually ENJOYING playing thru a 2nd time now to do it on hard.

spideysweb: wow, you're well on your way to the platinum trophy man! as i said above im still on Fallout 3 - its a HUGE game - Ive only got about 5-10hrs left but theres DLC out for it tomorrow adding another 5hrs to the game! Its epic!!!

antz1104: same here, i did the main story first rather than focus on the challenges - im looking forward to replaying it on hard ASAP! :)

@antz and Josh, Yeah I played easy first, then normal and now on hard and at the end. Just can't seem to beat Joker's crew. I absolutely love this game. Not as much as Dead Space mind you (josh lol) but it is an awesome game. I'm having a real hard time getting the 40x's combo and using all of bat's moves for both trophies.

@josh, do you have to play fallout 1 and 2 b4 you play 3?

Yes, I finally have beatent his game on hard mode..Now just need to complete all of the challenges.

Nope, no need to play the previous games, spideysweb, Fallout 3 is a standalone, it just has the same basic concept as the previous as well as the flavor stuff. Awesome game, The BEST mix of RPG and first person shooter ever as well as the best "sandbox" game, the freedom is fantastic and the story is not sacrificed for the freedom.

spideysweb: Well, i couldnt have put it any better than mwmcintyre did! It really is a must have and probably one of the best games Ive ever played! "Sandbox" basically means free-roaming - like Infamous or GTA! :)

wards: lol, well ive done all the side misssions and main story and that took me 52 hours altogether! However, i dont have the DLC yet and i saved before the final mission so i can go back and find the rest of the bobbleheads and explore more locations!

Confirm w/ Quagmire, there's no new challenge maps there. I found an article on joystiq and the xbla release date is scratched off:

This is how you give consumers their money's worth wihen it comes to games. A great game combined with new downloadable content that is just as great as what you have unlocked. Kudos to Rocksteady Studios, Eidos, and DC.

Yep, confirmed it: 360 North America is the only group not getting this dl w/ no tenantive release for it scheduled. One more way for us to get boned.
