New screenshots from Batman: Arkham City reveal the Penguin, Batman confronting Riddler in his lair, and Batman just being a badass in general.

Batman: Arkham City will be released worldwide the week of October 18,2011. If you can't wait that long, a five-issue monthly comic series was released on May 11, 2011. The series takes place after Arkham Asylum and leads up to Arkham City. It is written by Paul Dini with art by Carlos D'anda. Until October comes around, feast your eyes on the latest screenshots to emerge from this highly anticipated sequel.




Bet that umbrella is a machine gun. Also, loving the Cosby sweater.

I never got tired of doing this in the first game. I think I spent 30 mins. gliding for no reason when I first bought Arkham Asylum.






Game developers have also promised a revamped Detective Mode.

Game developers have teased that the Riddler will have an all new function in the sequel.





Batman: Arkham City is the upcoming sequel to action-adventure stealth video game Batman: Arkham Asylum, based on DC Comics' Batman, for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and Microsoft Windows. It is being developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game was officially announced during the beginning of the 2010 Spike Video Game Awards and is scheduled to be released worldwide the week of October 18, 2011.
