Oscar winning actress Alica Vikander delivers a decent enough performance in Jason Bourne (though the constant scowling grows stale fast), but The Danish Girl and Ex Machina star playing the new Lara Croft is very exciting indeed. The reboot isn't set to be released until 2018, and plot details are obviously scarce, but we do know that it will mostly take inspiration from the latest video games.
"The difference is that you clearly see from the previous games and what they were aiming on making as a difference, with making it a bit more of an origin story," she recently said. "That is something I think that we’re trying to have as our main thing, to show the journey of becoming what we know her as: Lara Croft."
